Job Overview: We are seeking an accomplished Global Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting function for a dynamic, private equity–backed SaaS company. This role is mission-critical to driving financial rigor, operational scalability, and compliance across a growing global footprint.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep NetSuite expertise, strong command of U.S. GAAP (including ASC 606 and ASC 842), and a proven track record of leading audits, managing distributed teams, and implementing automation to scale efficiently. Experience working in PE-backed companies and across international jurisdictions—particularly Israel—is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Accounting, Audit & Compliance

  • Lead the global month-end close and financial consolidation across U.S., Israeli, and Japanese entities
  • Prepare accurate, timely consolidated financial statements under U.S. GAAP, including footnotes and disclosures
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors (e.g., KPMG) to ensure timely, clean audits and annual audit readiness
  • Own technical accounting areas including ASC 606 (SaaS/professional services revenue), ASC 842 (leases), and equity/debt accounting
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in the U.S., Israel, and Japan
  • Oversee accurate classification and tracking of COGS, including infrastructure, support, and delivery-related expenses
  • Oversight of U.S. Payroll Compliance, including incentive compensation plans

Global Operations, Consolidation & Transfer Pricing

  • Own all intercompany accounting, including journal entries, eliminations, and transfer pricing
  • Maintain intercompany agreements and ensure appropriate documentation for tax compliance
  • Coordinate with international finance teams and external tax advisors to support cross-border compliance
  • Leverage NetSuite to reduce reliance on offline spreadsheets, improve controls, and enforce proper workflows

Cash Management, Forecasting & Cost Control

  • Maintain a rolling 12-week global cash flow forecast, including all entities
  • Oversee vendor management, payment approvals, and spend optimization
  • Partner with FP&A to align forecasts, budgets, and actuals; support cost containment strategies

Systems, Reporting & Process Optimization

  • Serve as the NetSuite champion: manage chart of accounts, custom reports, saved searches, and the budgeting module
  • Own budget uploads and drive reporting accuracy within NetSuite
  • Identify and implement AI-driven automation tools to streamline close processes, reduce manual work, and improve scalability
  • Continuously improve processes to support rapid growth in a lean, cost-conscious environment

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, including U.S. and international staff
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to team members
  • Partner with outsourced accounting providers where needed to supplement in-house capacity
  • Promote best practices in technical accounting, compliance, close cadence, and reporting excellence
  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements
  • CPA strongly preferred; Big 4 or top-tier firm experience strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a SaaS environment
  • Prior experience as a Controller or Global Controller in a PE-backed company
  • Expert-level NetSuite user, including multi-book accounting, OneWorld currency, tax and consolidation management, advanced revenue management, GL configuration, saved searches, reports, and dashboards, budget module, workflow automation, roles/permissions and integrations.
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and multi-entity consolidation
  • Experience managing international accounting (especially Israel) and coordinating with local audit/tax teams
  • Deep knowledge of intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, and multi-currency environments
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, modeling, and complex formulas)
  • Proven success managing audits and working with external auditors
  • Passion for automation and deploying tech-forward, cost-effective solutions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional influence skills
