About this role

Team Overview:

BlackRock’s Technology & Enterprise Service Group aims to provide BlackRock Employees with robust technology infrastructure and strategic workplace solutions to deliver a consistent employee experience around the world, while managing information security and data integrity. Teams aligned to support the firm's functions.

Global Enterprise Security has responsibility for ensuring a risk-based management approach to protect BlackRock staff and visitors, reputation, physical and information assets, and operations from disruptive events. Team manages key Security Programs (eg. Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Health & Safety) as well as communications and addressing critical issues related to physical and information security incidents.

Role Responsibility:

Associate Enterprise Security (Mumbai) is focused on executing the functional program for India Offices. This role will have a direct reporting to Head GES (India) for oversight and direction across implementation activities and strategies. This role will also have dotted-line reporting to BlackRock Global Head of Enterprise Security.

Core activities: Ensuring the delivery of the Enterprise Security (Physical & Transport Security operations), Executive Protection, Investigation, Vendor Management, Event Security and coordinating with Business functions in case of crisis.

As a member of the Global Enterprise Security team there will be requirements to participate in the development and implementation of global and regional programs. A candidate for this position should be able to deliver quality and quantity for both the program and business functions it serves in region and is highly adaptable in a crisis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage physical security operations across India, ensuring employee safety and asset protection.

  • Oversee operational delivery of the day-today for technical Security program and act as a subject-matter expert. Program workstreams include:

  • Security Technology Project Management

  • Preventative Maintenance

  • Internal Audit and Housekeeping

  • Badge Administration

  • Capital Projects

  • Engagement with external security forums, law enforcement and other entities.

  • Collaborate with business leadership and other BlackRock team members to ensure program success locally.

  • Deliver training to employees and security staff as needed.

  • Crisis Management training and exercise support for Mumbai office.

  • Collaborate with the business to monitor and evaluate events in India and other external events attended by employees, ensuring that threat and risk assessments align with Global Security standards.

  • Serve as the point of contact for Global Security during investigation support.

  • Provide guidance and support to domestic travelers in India, ensuring adequate measures are in place to address threat situations at travel destinations.

  • Engage with security service providers to ensure optimized delivery model and strategic partnership.

Qualifications:

  • University-level bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 5+ years’ combined experience in corporate security.

  • Experience with real-time crisis events and willing to provide support during a crisis 24/7/365, if needed.

Competencies:

  • Proficient Customer amd Stakeholder Management Skills.

  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills.

  • Good project management and organizational skills.

  • Works well in a team environment; is collaborative & inclusive.

  • Experience in managing relationships at mid-to-senior management levels.

  • Local/regional travel required.
