Job Description
Join our Global Real Estate team as the Head of Operational Technology for the JPMorganChase Global Headquarters at 270 Park Avenue.
As an Executive Director, Head of Operational Technology at 270 Park, within the Global Real Estate (GRE) team, you will be responsible for overseeing all building systems and technology that support building operations, employee and client comfort and operational efficiency at the JPMorgan Chase Global Headquarters and future Midtown Campus. This role manages the integration, maintenance, and optimization of systems such as building management systems (BMS), HVAC, interior lighting, exterior lighting, shade controls, fire & life safety, elevator, audio & visual, and other smart building technologies. The position ensures seamless operation, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement of technical applications, working closely with facilities management, building engineering, and technology.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operation, maintenance, and upgrades of all building systems, including BMS, HVAC, interior lighting, exterior lighting, shade controls, fire & life safety, elevator, audio & visual, and other smart building technologies.
  • Oversee the integration and optimization of new technologies to enhance building performance and occupant comfort.
  • Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors and service providers for technical systems, ensuring quality and timely service.
  • Respond promptly to requests and issues related to building systems, providing guidance and training on technology use.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all technical systems, and lead troubleshooting efforts for system failures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations for all technical services.
  • Maintain accurate records of system maintenance, upgrades, incidents, and vendor activities.
  • Collaborate with property management, engineering, and other departments to coordinate technical services and support building operations.
  • Communicate system updates, outages, and improvements to tenants and stakeholders.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Facilities Management, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience managing building systems and technology in commercial real estate or large facilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, lighting, shade controls, access control, and smart building technologies.
  • Experience integrating and optimizing building systems for energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and oversee service contracts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency with building management systems (BMS), lighting control platforms, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices in building operations and technical services.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
