At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.

Lyft Urban Solutions is seeking a seasoned Global Supply Manager to join our supply chain team supporting the micromobility division of Lyft Inc. In this senior role, you will own the end-to-end direct materials supply chain for our Vehicle Platforms portfolio — spanning Next Generation Platforms, E-Bikes, Pedal Bikes, and Scooters. You will be the primary interface between LUS and our global manufacturing partners, driving supply continuity, cost optimization, and long-term supplier health across critical hardware categories.

This is a high-visibility role requiring deep fluency in direct procurement, hardware manufacturing, and supplier relationship management in consumer or micro-mobility hardware environments. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal to align supply chain strategy with business objectives and product roadmaps.

Responsibilities:
  • Supplier & Category Management
    • Develop and own comprehensive sourcing strategies for direct materials across Next Generation Platforms, E-Bikes, Pedal Bikes, and Scooters, with focus on FATP & Key Technologies and Commodities
    • Lead strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) programs including scorecards, business reviews, and performance KPIs to drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost
    • Manage the supplier base through the full product lifecycle — NPI through EOL — ensuring adequate capacity, qualification, and supply continuity
    • Drive EOL and second-source strategies to mitigate single-source risk and support long-term supply chain resilience
  • Sourcing & Negotiation
    • Lead end-to-end sourcing events including market analysis, RFx development, supplier evaluation, and commercial negotiation for complex direct materials contracts
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, MOQs, lead times, and capacity commitments with global manufacturing partners (including APAC-based suppliers and FATP partners)
    • Drive year-over-year PPV targets and cost reduction roadmaps aligned with BOM cost targets for both independent and charging vehicle variants
    • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers in support of NPI programs, ensuring DFM alignment, qualification timelines, and production readiness
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Serve as the primary supply chain point of contact for Engineering, Product, Operations, and Finance stakeholders on all Vehicle Platform supply topics
    • Collaborate with the hardware team on DFM/DFX inputs, ECO management, and BOM changes to ensure supply chain impact is assessed early
    • Partner with Demand Planning and Operations to maintain accurate CTB (Cleared to Build) signals and manage supply to production schedules
    • Interface with Legal and Compliance teams on supplier contracts, NDA management, and audit readiness
    • Support weekly executive reporting cadences (e.g., Staff Snapshots, MIL tracker reviews) with clear, actionable supply chain updates
  • Risk & Escalation Management
    • Proactively identify and escalate supply risks — including line-down risks, LLT shortages, and geopolitical/logistics disruptions — with mitigation plans
    • Own supplier dispute resolution, including commercial escalations related to missed shipment commitments, expedite fees, and quality escapes
    • Maintain MIL tracker and issue logs with up-to-date status and accountability across supplier deliverables
Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in direct materials procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management in a hardware-intensive environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing physical product categories — preferably consumer electronics, bicycles, e-mobility, robotics, or adjacent hardware platforms
  • Deep knowledge of APAC supplier ecosystems and manufacturing processes (FATP, SMT, mechanical assembly, battery pack assembly)
  • Proven track record of leading complex commercial negotiations with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
  • Strong command of BOM cost structures, should-cost modeling, and cost reduction methodologies
  • Experience managing cross-functional programs through NPI, DVT/PVT, and MP phases
  • Proficiency with procurement and supply chain tools (e.g., Oracle, Zip, MRP/ERP systems) and Google Workspace
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with micromobility, e-bike, or last-mile vehicle platforms
    • Familiarity with battery supply chains (cells, BMS, pack integration) and associated regulatory considerations
    • Relevant certifications such as CSCP, CPM, or CPSM
    • Experience supporting hardware companies through rapid scaling or supply base restructuring
Benefits:
  • Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolled
  • Mental health benefits
  • Family building benefits
  • Child care and pet benefits
  • 401(k) plan with company match to help save for your future
  • In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
  • Subsidized commuter benefits
  • Monthly Lyft credits and complimentary Lyft Pink membership
