About the Position

We’re looking for an organized, thoughtful, and collaborative individual to drive strategy and execution of a high-touch, employee-focused global travel program.

Leveraging your depth of experience, creative problem solving, and critical thinking, you’ll generate a plan to scale and manage our dynamic travel operation. You will also be responsible for developing and managing financial planning and reporting to optimize our efforts.

We are looking for someone who can balance the execution of the nuanced service we provide with the need for efficiency as our firm grows. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a service-minded approach who can manage projects from idea to execution. We’ll rely on your comprehensive understanding of the travel industry ecosystem (travel agency operations, online booking tools, reporting capabilities, and travel technologies) to develop steps forward and mentor our travel team. You should be current with industry trends to identify new travel disruptors and opportunities for the travel program.

Our Travel team sits within our Workplace Services team, which is driven by a passion for hospitality. We interact regularly with nearly every department and are on a first-name basis with most of the firm. We encourage travel between offices to foster the exchange of ideas and work hard to create an office environment where employees feel happy, engaged, and supported.

The Global Travel Manager will hold a leadership position on this team.

About You

  • 15+ years of experience in travel program management for a large corporation, including demonstrated experience building and leading a global team
  • Experience managing the financial data, planning, and reporting for a global corporate travel program
  • Experience in developing data-driven strategies to scale a travel operation
  • Experience managing relationships with travel partners, such as agencies, airlines, hotels, and car service companies
  • Vision to grow and improve our travel service offerings and a plan to get us there
  • Calm and organized in a fast-paced environment; able to manage and prioritize multiple project streams at once
  • Deep understanding of the global travel industry’s business ecosystem, operations, technology, and service delivery platforms (i.e., online booking tools, data consolidation partners, NDC, etc.)
  • Desire and proven ability to collaborate across several business areas and regions to identify and achieve all operational goals with a flexible mindset and openness to competing viewpoints
  • Clear, concise, and empathetic verbal and written communication skills
  • Financial industry experience preferred, but not required
