Job Description

Title: Graphic Design Coordinator, Commercial Education

Overview

The Graphic Design Coordinator helps to develop and design training programs for Retail, Customer Care and Wholesale employees. They are responsible for assisting in the ideation and creation of all in-store training tools as they relate to product and selling.  An ability to work efficiently with collaborators and execute projects based on strategic direction is key.

They have a keen eye for design and are familiar with current design trends and best practices for both digital and print. They’re passionate about the luxury jewelry space and understand the selling experience. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist department in developing and executing design concepts for all internal training programs through visual storytelling and creative solutions
  • Honor David Yurman brand standards, while bringing fresh ideas and a new approach 
  • Meet and partner with interdepartmental and cross-functional colleagues to gather all necessary information in order to accurately and efficiently execute all tools
  • Assist in the coordination of logistics and resources for digital platforms/projects
  • Seek new methods and find creative solutions for innovative programs to improve the in-store learning process and overall client experience
  • Conduct market/competitive research and industry trends in graphic and digital design
  • Other administrative/coordination duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in design, retail a plus
  • Proficiency with Adobe CC
  • High level of InDesign skills required
  • Basic Premiere Pro/After Effects video editing skills a plus
  • Photoshop and Illustrator skills a plus
  • Knowledge of digital learning platforms/Learning Management Systems a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Agile, with the ability to multi-task and manage time well
  • High degree of integrity

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Work location: New York, NY (Hybrid, in office 3 days a week)  

Travel: None

Estimated Pay Rate: $31.00-33.00 per hour

Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
