Position: Graphic Designer (Contractor)

Reporting to: Associate Director, Marketing
Hours: 30-40 hours per week
Compensation: $17–$27 per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Graphic Design Contractor will work closely with the Marketing team to develop engaging, on-brand visual assets across a variety of channels.
The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of professional graphic design experience and is comfortable taking projects from concept through final execution. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented, visually driven designer who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and bring a strong understanding of design principles and visual storytelling to a fast-paced environment.
The designer will primarily support digital and e-commerce creative, including email, website, paid advertising, social media, and campaign assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging visual content across marketing channels including designing for daily newsletters, website visuals, paid ads, social media, and other assets that resonate with our audience and align with our brand's aesthetics.
- Edit, retouch, resize, and prepare PDP (product detail page) images to maintain a consistent visual standard across the site.
- Update and refresh creative assets across the homepage, navigation bars, landing pages, and other on-site placements to support current campaigns.
- Research visual trends, references, and creative inspiration to support campaign and concept development.
- Work with Creative team to organize and maintain creative assets to help improve efficiency and workflows
- Manage assigned design projects and deliverables independently, incorporating feedback and meeting agreed-upon deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; proficiency in Figma preferred.
- Basic video editing skills and familiarity with Premiere Pro and/or CapCut.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, composition, color, and visual hierarchy.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual consistency and quality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Thrives in a highly entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment with an all-hands-on-deck and positive attitude
- Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
- A highly motivated, energetic self-starter who works collaboratively across cross-functional teams
- Prior experience or strong demonstrated interest in the beauty industry
