Position Summary
The Graphic Designer is a talented and detail-oriented creative professional who thrives in a corporate environment, values consistency, and brings innovative thinking to templated communications. It plays a key role in executing and finalizing print and digital design requests for employee benefits, adhering to established branding and design guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Direction: Follows design direction to ensure projects are properly branded, engaging, scalable, and efficient. Assists in creative brainstorming and ensures designs align with overall communication strategies.
- Mitigation: Has ability and experience to quickly solve problems, issues, or delays regarding print or digital design and production deliverables.
- Departmental Support: On an as needed basis, work with departmental teams to create or update collateral that supports pre- and post-sales deliverables, such as custom previews of campaigns, white papers, case studies, infographics, brochures, RFPs, and other special projects.
- Custom Content: Help create custom designs for a revenue-generating communications program that fulfills the needs and expectations of clients.
- Effective Communicator: Participate in internal and external meetings to showcase our capabilities and provide guidance tailored to specific client needs.
- Professional Development: Identify new areas for learning to improve team skills and on-the-job performance.
- Compliance and Regulatory Awareness: Be aware of changes in employee benefits regulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure communication efforts are compliant.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in employee benefits design and production.
- Bachelor's degree in design, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Employee benefits knowledge is desired.
- Experience in digital, print, and/or broadcast communications required.
- Proficiency with Adobe, Asana, and Microsoft Office products is required.
- Understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience working with templates, paragraph/character styles, and style sheets.
- Ability to work within brand guidelines while maintaining creativity.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and across departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize projects and work under high pressure.

- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar Agency Management System (AMS) is acceptable
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
- Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
- Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key
- Walking, bending, sitting, reaching, and stretching in all directions
