Job Description:

The Group Director, Paid Social provides strategic planning and direction for one of dentsu’s largest paid social clients and is focused on growing efficiency and capability on the Paid Social team. The role will report to the SVP of Paid Social.

The Group Director will manage and direct a team of paid social practitioners and be accountable for maintaining accurate program forecasts and hitting contractual revenue and performance goals. Proven account management and team leadership experience is essential, along with deep expertise in paid social.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop key client strategies and ensure that the team is aligned on strategy

  • Develop relationships with partners at all relevant social media platform partners

  • Work with the client services team to manage client relationships as related to paid social strategy, team and performance

  • Ensure best practices and innovation in all activities; ensure knowledge sharing across teams

  • Keep leadership team aware of client opportunities, risks and stay on top of the overall health of the account

  • Actively lead a large team, implementing process, inspiring excellence and creative solutions and serving as a point of escalation

  • Establish new programs, grow client revenue and upsell capabilities

  • Partner with other channels

Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of experience in paid social, including historic success building and growing accounts and teams in paid social at a large media agency

  • Demonstrated history of growing accounts incrementally by presenting credible campaign opportunities to clients that drive their goals

  • Experience managing a social media discipline within an agency or business

  • A history of serving as a point of escalation within a channel team for clients, teammates and colleagues

  • Experience growing business incrementally and leading conversations with senior clients on blue-chip accounts

  • Experience collaborating across teams, clients, peers, partner agencies and vendors to guide great work

  • Proven ability to think strategically, making credible recommendations to clients that drive measurable results

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000-$182,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
