Job Description:

Amplifi is dentsu's media investment and innovation platform, supporting our agencies and clients with the tools and expertise to drive smarter media decisions. We work closely with publishers, media companies, and tech partners to evolve how we engage with the supply side of the industry.

Our Partnerships & Platform team leads strategic partnerships across dentsu Media US, connecting agencies (Carat, iProspect, dentsuX), clients, and investment teams. We turn client needs, commercial goals, and industry trends into impactful, value-driven partnerships—shaping dentsu's presence in the marketplace, new business, and product innovation.

The Group Director will report into the VP, Partnerships and operate as a subject matter expert in sports and entertainment both internally and externally. You will lead a team and determine the partnership strategy, negotiate and deliver partnership agreements against the strategy and deliver partnership agreements against the strategy. For this hybrid opportunity you will report into one of our office locations (NY, Chicago, LA, and Atlanta) 1-2 times a week. You will operate across adjacent media channels, environmental contexts and disciplines.

As a role that touches several capabilities within dentsu – from technology to media investment and activation, trading and planning/strategy – an ability to work with multiple partners to create 'win wins' for all. You will provide ongoing feedback to senior management on status and priority and to future-proof dentsu's business by building innovative partnerships with our main vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Be the subject-matter expert in sports and entertainment partnerships, supporting new business efforts and developing custom client solutions.

• Co-develop and execute partnership strategy in collaboration with the VP, Partnerships.

• Create and oversee Joint Business Plans between dentsu and clients, ensuring all negotiated value is realized.

• Lead and maintain relationships with market partners, distributing relevant insights across dentsu teams and leadership.

• Collaborate with Investment & Activation teams and Amplifi to align partnership strategies with client needs, educate on deal terms, and promote testing and value opportunities.

• Manage and communicate commercial terms and partnership details to ensure execution, compliance, and progression of deals.

• Promote excellence in partnership execution, including reporting, tracking, and adherence to ways of working.

• Be the connector across internal and external stakeholders, promoting engagement and integration across partnership initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 10 years+ of experience in the digital industry as a partnership or investment lead at a reputable agency or partner.

• 5+ years of experience management of a team

• 5+ years of experience in sports sponsorship and planning

• Demonstrated excellence in project management with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Translate complex ideas into relevant solutions and presenting these metrics to C-level.

The annual base salary range for this position is $113,000-$182,850. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.
