About the Role

We're hiring a Growth Engineer to help us build, automate, and scale the systems that drive Sent's developer acquisition and market intelligence. You'll work directly with our CEO on programmatic SEO, data pipelines, competitive intelligence, and the technical infrastructure that powers our go-to-market engine.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who wants to operate at the intersection of engineering and growth. You'll write code, scrape data, build automations, and ship experiments that directly impact how developers discover and adopt Sent.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that power our market intelligence and competitive research (web scraping, data structuring, enrichment)

  • Develop programmatic SEO infrastructure - templated pages, content generation, and indexing automation

  • Create internal tools and dashboards that help us understand developer behavior and campaign performance

  • Write scripts and automations to streamline GTM workflows (lead enrichment, outreach sequences, CRM hygiene)

  • Experiment with AI/LLM-powered workflows for content generation, data enrichment, and developer outreach

  • Collaborate with marketing on landing pages, conversion optimization, and technical content

  • Monitor and improve the performance of growth experiments with data-driven iteration

About You

What we're looking for:

  • 0–2 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a technical growth role

  • Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Comfort with web scraping, APIs, and working with messy real-world data

  • Familiarity with SQL and basic data analysis

  • Interest in growth, marketing, and go-to-market strategy—not just pure engineering

  • Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and can ship quickly with minimal direction

  • Curiosity about AI tools and willingness to experiment with LLMs for automation

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog) or programmatic content generation

  • Familiarity with CRM/marketing tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, customer.io)

  • Previous exposure to startups, developer tools, or API products

  • Side projects or portfolio work demonstrating scrappy problem-solving

Why Sent

Sent is a developer-first messaging company powering SMS, WhatsApp, iMessage, and RCS through a single unified API. We recently raised $5.1M in seed funding from Companyon Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Urban Innovation Fund, and others. We're a team of 18 building the infrastructure layer for modern business communication.

This role reports directly to the CEO and offers unusual visibility into how a high-growth startup operates. You'll learn how to build growth systems from scratch and have real ownership over projects that move the needle.

Our Commitment to You
  • Competitive Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 based on experience

  • Meaningful Equity with high upside as an early team member

  • Premium Benefits: Fully covered health, dental, vision

  • 401(k) Match: 100% match up to 4%

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Growth Budget: Annual allowance for courses, conferences, and learning

  • NYC Office: Beautiful workspace in Chelsea with daily meals and unlimited snacks

  • Top-tier Equipment: New MacBook Pro + Apple Studio Display

  • Fitness Stipend: Wellhub Gold or Equinox membership

  • Perks: Comped Citi Bike membership

Sent, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
