About You: You’re not waiting for someone to hand you a playbook. You want to write it, test it, and scale it yourself. You know how to tell a compelling story, ship fast, and get attention. You can run with email, social, events, and copy - and if something doesn’t exist yet, you’ll build it from scratch. You’re full stack in your mindset, confident in your taste, and you thrive on accountability. You care about how things look, how they read, and how they convert. You want to grow a company from the ground up and build a brand that punches way above its weight.

You Have:

  • 2–6 years experience in B2B growth, product, or content marketing at a startup or other competitive environment.
  • A track record of turning product features, customer insights, or cultural moments into stories that get read and shared.
  • You know your way around social media, lifecycle emails, CMS tools, and landing pages.
  • Great taste - you can spot good creative, tight copy, and clean design, and you push to hit that bar.
  • A metrics-driven mindset - you’re energized by funnels, testing, and moving the needle.
  • You can move fast, work cross-functionally, and thrive without a huge team.
  • Bonus: familiarity with outbound sales messaging, sales enablement, or product marketing workflows.

You Want:

  • Ownership: fully own outcomes, not just deliverables.
  • Feedback: we believe in radical candor and using feedback to get to the next level.
  • Upside: you're hungry for equity and a seat at the table.
  • To build from 0 to 100 and make Baselayer impossible to ignore.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and scale our content + growth engine: from weekly newsletters to product updates to thought leadership.
  • Run our social presence across platforms - you’ll be the voice of the company.
  • Launch outbound email sequences, nurture campaigns, and growth experiments from scratch.
  • Collaborate with sales and partnerships to align messaging and fuel pipeline.
  • Support events, conferences, and partner activations with killer creative.
  • Build systems that make marketing easier to execute and better to measure.
  • Set the tone for the Baselayer brand and help define how we show up in the world.
  • Think like a founder: take initiative, iterate fast, and fully own results.

Benefits:

  • Time off when you need it: Flexible PTO so you can recharge without red tape.
  • In-person energy: We’re based in NYC and meet in the office 3–5 days a week - but flexible remote work is always on the table.
  • Competitive compensation: We pay well and back it with equity - we want you to think and act like an owner.
  • Career rocket fuel: You'll help build the foundation of a high-growth startup, working side by side with experienced founders and team members who've done it before.
  • A seat at the table: We believe in transparency, radical candor, and giving every team member a voice.

Salary Range:
$120k – $150k | Equity: 0.05% – 0.25%
