Who we are
Sapien is rethinking how finance teams operate in the age of AI. We’re building toward an autonomous CFO—systems that run company financials end-to-end. Our platform analyzes complex financial data in real time to increase decision cadence, prevent costly mistakes, and surface value. Sapien has caught multi-million-dollar errors, saved thousands of jobs, and returned significant dollars to customers’ bottom lines.
We partner with traditional businesses—manufacturing, healthcare, restaurants, and large enterprises—to deeply understand and automate their financial workflows. We’re HQ’d by Madison Square Park in NYC and backed by General Catalyst, Neo, and top operators from Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Ramp, and Stripe (over $9M raised).
The RoleWe're hiring our Founding GTM to own pipeline generation and build Sapien's demand engine from the ground up. You'll be the person responsible for creating the systems, campaigns, and motions that put Sapien in front of the right CFOs, business intelligence, and finance leaders at scale.
You'll work directly with the executive team to translate early traction into a repeatable, scalable go-to-market machine. This means running outbound experiments, standing up demand gen infrastructure, qualifying and progressing pipeline, and laying the foundation for everything that comes after — whether that's a sales team, a partner channel, or an enterprise motion.
What you'll doPipeline Generation
Build and run targeted outbound campaigns to finance executives — from ICP definition to messaging to sequencing to iteration.
Source, qualify, and progress leads through the funnel. You own top-of-funnel and pipeline velocity.
Experiment relentlessly — new channels, new angles, new tactics. Measure what works, kill what doesn't.
Demand Generation
Stand up Sapien's demand gen engine: content, events, paid, partnerships, community — whatever drives qualified pipeline.
Partner with the founders on positioning, messaging, and narrative. You'll help shape how the market sees Sapien.
Build and maintain the growth infrastructure — CRM, pipeline tracker, stage definitions, dashboards, cadences, and templates.
Customer Motion
Support live deals through research, competitive intel, call prep, and follow-ups.
Develop a deep understanding of finance / analytics workflows and the modern finance tech stack to sharpen every touchpoint.
Feed structured market signal back to product and leadership — what's resonating, what's not, and where the opportunity is.
What we're looking for
Builder mentality. You'd rather design the system than run someone else's playbook. You see gaps and fill them without being asked.
2–4+ years of experience in GTM, sales, growth, consulting, or finance. You've done some version of pipeline work and want to go deeper.
Exceptional communicator. You write outbound that gets replies. You speak with confidence to senior finance leaders. Your writing is crisp and persuasive.
Process-obsessed. You build clean systems — CRM hygiene, dashboards, documented workflows. You don't let things slip through cracks.
AI-native. You use AI tools daily and you're energized by what's possible. You'll be expected to leverage AI across your workflows.
High agency. You operate with speed and urgency in ambiguous environments. You don't wait for permission — you identify what's next and do it.
AI-native. You’re energized by applying AI to transform how businesses run.
Ambiguity-shaping. You turn nebulous problems into a first pass and drive to resolution.
Extreme ownership. You identify what’s next—and do it. If you say it, it gets done.
Speed & hustle. You bias to action and move with urgency without sacrificing quality.
