Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Typical duties assigned to this position:
- Lead multi-discipline, state-of-the-art hardware teams of 20+ people through Agile hardware engineering design and development
- Employ your expertise, decision skills, and independent judgment in technical areas
- Lead Design Review activities to achieve program success
- Communicate essential information and coordinate with engineering disciplines, Procurement, Operations, and Program Management
- Develop program schedules, earned value criteria, and productivity metrics for efficient performance
- Ensure the established Hardware Development Process is implemented successfully
- Support important program capture and proposal teams with hardware baselines that include development and cost/scheduling estimating
- Work with Discipline Section Leads to determine program staffing needs and "right person/right job"
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BSEE or BSME with 8+ years and commensurate experience leading engineering teams
- Proven CAM experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules, budgets, and productivity metrics to ensure efficient team performance. Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) project execution and practices.
- Experience supporting Bid & Proposal activities, including developing proper BOEs.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Master's Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience
- Current DoD Security Clearance
- Certification for Earned Value Management System (EVMS) project management techniques
- The use of commercially available schedule tools and application of those tools within EVMS is a plus.
- Design of Electro-optic, EO/IR, and/or laser technologies
- Designing-To cost (DTUPC) constraints, designing for manufacturability
- Possess solid technical leadership practices for Agile multi-site, multi-disciplinary engineering teams engaged in the design and development of state-of-the-art electro-optical products
- Proven experience formulating a vision and implementing action plans to achieve goals
- Experience implementing an established Hardware Engineering design processes to achieve product quality and consistency
- Possesses sound interpersonal communication skills involving interfacing with company personnel, customers, and suppliers
- Experience supporting new business capture and proposal teams with development of hardware engineering cost/schedule estimates
- Capable of exercising independent discretion and judgment in the performance of engineering duties, including identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
- Capable of utilizing computer skills to prepare appropriate reports, documents, and presentations for internal/external distribution
- Ability to develop and implement design solutions, processes, and systems within budget and schedule requirements
- Experience with design and develop of products and services using state-of-the-art engineering technologies, principles, theories and concepts
