The Head/Director of Sales (Exchange) will drive institutional growth, leading sales initiatives, managing complex partnerships, and innovating product offerings alongside market trends in cryptocurrency.
As the Head or Director of Sales (Exchange), you will be the primary architect of Crypto.com’s institutional growth within the United States. In an industry where the boundaries between traditional finance and decentralized technology are blurring, you will identify and capture opportunities across an unlimited client landscape.
This is a high-autonomy role designed for a "builder" who thrives on ownership. You won’t just be selling off-the-shelf products; you will collaborate with our global product teams to customize first-to-market solutions—ranging from credit and custody to bespoke trading instruments. You will have the full weight of the Crypto.com ecosystem behind you to turn your market insights into reality.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Conversion: Proactively identify, pitch, and onboard institutional prospects, including proprietary trading funds, hedge funds, asset managers, and family offices.
- Consultative Selling: Deeply understand client requirements to position the full Crypto.com stack
- Product Innovation: Identify gaps in the current market and work with internal teams to develop and launch new institutional-grade offerings (e.g., lending, prime brokerage).
- Market Ambassadorship: Represent Crypto.com at major industry conferences and community gatherings to elevate our brand and deepen our institutional footprint.
- Full Deal Lifecycle: Take ownership of the entire sales funnel—from initial outreach and market research to drafting and closing complex partnership agreements.
- Retention & Feedback: Maintain high-touch relationships with your book of business, gathering actionable feedback to drive continuous product improvement.
- Competitive Intelligence: Stay ahead of market trends and competitor movements to ensure our value proposition remains best-in-class.
Job Requirements
- Seniority: 10+ years of experience in Institutional Sales or Business Development within a high-growth financial environment.
- Crypto Expertise: 3+ years of dedicated experience in the digital asset/Web3 space, specifically in outbound sales for an Exchange, Custodian, or Prime Broker.
- Industry Network: A robust, active "book of business" and network across hedge funds, proprietary trading firms (HFT), banks and asset managers.
- Strategic Execution: A proven track record of initiating, managing, and monetizing institutional relationships with clear examples of revenue and volume growth.
- Product Knowledge: Deep familiarity with institutional-grade products, including OTC flows, API trading, and custodial architecture.
- Communication: Exceptional command of professional English, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to C-suite executives.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: The ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment while maintaining a focus on high-yield KPIs (Revenue, Volume, and Onboarding).
