Lead and scale Air's growth engine by owning paid marketing, SEO/AEO, outbound, the marketing website, and analytics. Manage a $10-20M budget, mentor a small team and agencies, execute hands-on campaigns, optimize conversion funnels, and build reporting to drive predictable pipeline and CAC efficiency.
Air is a Creative Ops System for creative teams. Our product automates the mindless tasks that creatives and marketers do every day to manage content and unlocks creativity through image recognition, automated versioning, and approval workflows. We launched in March 2021 and have raised +$70m from world-class venture capital groups including Avenir, Tiger Global, Headline Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, WndrCo, and Slack Ventures.
This role requires in-office attendance at least 3 days/week in New York City.
We're looking for a seasoned Head of Growth to build a predictable engine that converts brand awareness into qualified pipeline.
You will own paid marketing, AEO, SEO, outbound, our marketing website, and the reporting and analytics around them. You’ll step into a company that has strong product-market fit and has hit a clear growth inflection point. You’ll manage a small existing team of marketers, SDRs, and GTM engineers, and you’ll hold several external agency relationships as well. This is a player-coach role: you will oversee the execution of your team while staying deeply hands-on yourself. You'll report directly to our two cofounders and will have a key seat at the table where growth strategy is set.
Own and Scale our Growth Engine
- Drive strategy and execution across paid marketing, AEO, SEO, outbound, and the marketing website.
- Manage a budget in the $10–20M range as the company scales, with full accountability for pipeline contribution and CAC efficiency.
- Obsess over the metrics that drive our funnel, and own the analysis to continually improve results
- Maintain agency partnerships while building in-house expertise to reduce dependency.
Build and Coach a High-Output Team
- Inherit and develop a team of growth-focused marketers and operators to build the muscle further.
- Set a high bar for craft — mentor ICs, establish clear performance frameworks, and build a culture of speed, rigor, and accountability.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Revenue to ensure the marketing website and campaign messaging stay aligned with positioning.
Execute and Iterate Hands-On
- Roll up your sleeves on paid campaign architecture, audience segmentation, and bid strategy — this is not a purely strategic role.
- Own the marketing website as a growth lever: conversion rate optimization, landing page testing, and messaging iteration.
- Drive AEO and SEO investment and strategy, building durable organic channels alongside performance channels.
- Contribute to our product-led growth motion, in close collaboration with product and engineering.
Move Fast, Measure Everything
- Build and maintain reporting infrastructure that gives leadership clear visibility into pipeline quality, channel efficiency, and attribution.
- Make fast, data-informed decisions in an environment where you'll often have good-but-not-perfect data.
- Proactively identify what's working, kill what isn't, and double down with conviction.
- Experience: 10+ years in growth or performance marketing, with roots as an individual contributor in paid or SEO before stepping into leadership. You've built and managed teams, but you haven't lost the ability to do the work yourself.
- B2B depth: Meaningful experience driving pipeline and revenue in a B2B SaaS or technology context — you understand sales cycles, ICP targeting, and how marketing maps to revenue.
- Paid expertise: You can architect and manage paid search and social campaigns yourself. Meta experience, particularly from a B2C context, is a meaningful plus.
- Budget ownership: You've managed significant performance marketing budgets and have strong intuitions about where to allocate, when to scale, and when to pull back.
- Builder's mindset: You've worked in high-growth, resource-constrained environments and are energized — not frustrated — by the ambiguity that comes with them.
- Obsessed with Winning: You’re ready to leave it all out on the field to elevate Air and build a world-class growth engine.
- Act like a driver: Take initiative and ownership without waiting to be told.
- Work in public: Share ideas openly, get feedback early, and collaborate across teams.
- Play to win: Aim high and bring creativity, adaptability, and focus to your work.
- Say the hard thing: Give and receive feedback with clarity and respect.
- Disagree and commit: Debate honestly, then align quickly to move forward together.
Why Air?
- Growth and Impact: Join a rapidly scaling company with a mission to transform the creative ops space. Your work will have a direct, tangible impact on [our ARR growth].
- Comprehensive Benefits: We offer competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with dependent coverage. You’ll also enjoy a generous work-from-home stipend, professional development reimbursement, and unlimited vacation days.
- Commitment to Diversity: We believe in the power of diverse perspectives and strive to create an inclusive culture that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and experiences.
- Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this role is USD $180,000-$250,000 + equity, commensurate with experience.
At Air, we’re committed to building a world-class team and helping every individual reach their full potential. If you're passionate about solving big problems and growing with an innovative company, we’d love to meet you!
