As Head of Lending at Nova Credit, you will join Nova Credit’s leadership team and lead the Lending Business Unit — our flagship and most strategically critical vertical. You will hold end-to-end accountability (pre to post-sales) for growing the Lending vertical, leading two exceptional teams responsible for winning within Financial Services (largest  banks) and Consumer Lending (other key lenders).

This role sits at the intersection of enterprise sales leadership and business unit general management. You will drive new logo acquisition and expansion with the country’s largest banks and most innovative consumer lenders, and also ensure that every customer we bring on is set up to succeed and deepen their relationship with Nova Credit over time. You understand how lenders buy, how they evaluate credit risk infrastructure, and how to build the trust necessary to become a strategic partner at the highest levels of a lending institution. You will be equally responsible for setting and executing functional strategy as you are for building and retaining world-class talent. The right candidate brings deep enterprise financial services sales expertise, particularly with top banks and large lending institutions, paired with the operational rigor to build a scalable, high-performance sales function.

This is a full-time role with a strong preference for NYC Metropolitan area-based candidates, reporting directly to our CEO. Travel to client sites expected.

WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH, YOU'LL:

  • Develop deep fluency in Nova Credit’s full product platform, go-to-market motion, and competitive positioning across the lending landscape
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of pipeline health, account coverage, customer success posture, and team capabilities across your full portfolio
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners in Product, Solutions, Marketing, and Finance to understand how the lending segment is supported and how it grow
  • Begin engaging with Nova Credit’s most strategic lending clients and prospects to establish your presence and understand their priorities firsthand

WITHIN THE FIRST QUARTER, YOU'LL:

  • Define and align leadership on a unified Lending segment strategy, including ICP prioritization, coverage model, expansion playbook, and post-sales success framework for Lending
  • Establish forecasting cadences, pipeline accountability structures, and success metrics across both teams that give the business clear, reliable visibility into revenue performance
  • Identify and close near-term expansion and upsell opportunities within the existing book of business, demonstrating early commercial impact across your portfolio
  • Establish individual development plans for each direct report, with clarity on growth trajectory and performance expectations
  • Begin building the external relationships at the C-suite and senior executive level that will define Nova Credit’s lending partnerships for the next several years

WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR, YOU'LL:

  • Deliver significant revenue growth across both lending verticals in line with company projections, through strategic account expansion, new logo acquisition, and strong post-sales retention
  • Build out the Lending function, including recruiting and developing additional account managers as the business scales, with a clear view of the team you are building toward
  • Establish Nova Credit as a strategic partner of choice among top banks and lenders, as a core partner in their credit risk and growth strategy
  • Develop and institutionalize best practices for the full lending customer lifecycle
  • Serve as Nova Credit’s senior voice of the lending customer, advocating for product investments and roadmap priorities that deepen our competitive position in the market
  • Contribute meaningfully to Nova Credit’s company strategy and product roadmap as a member of the leadership team, representing the Lending business unit

YOUR SKILLSET:

  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in enterprise financial services, with a proven record of owning revenue targets and leading high-performing sales and post-sales teams
  • Domain expertise: Deep expertise selling into Top 20 banks, large financial institutions, fintechs, or consumer lenders with fluency in credit risk, lending operations, and regulatory considerations- with fluency in how these organizations evaluate, buy, and implement credit risk and lending infrastructure

  • Builder mentality: Track record of building pipeline, closing complex enterprise deals, scaling commercial functions all while developing a team
  • Data-driven judgment: Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to manage team performance, forecast accurately, and surface commercial and product opportunities across a complex book of business
  • Cross-functional fluency: Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Solutions, and Marketing to align go-to-market strategy with product capabilities
  • Ownership: High ownership mentality, thrives in fast-paced, high-autonomy environments with a bias for action and a strong sense of accountability to the business and to their team
  • AI Usage: Comfort and curiosity with AI both as a tool for accelerating your own and your team's output, and as a lens for understanding how the lenders you sell to are thinking about automation, risk, and data infrastructure in their own organizations
