Wells Fargo’s Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL) team is an integrated, forward-looking product organization with end-to-end payments, data, liquidity and associated lending solutions that enable our clients to achieve their business objectives in an evolving digital world. 

As our GPL team moves forward with our Payments transformation, we are building out a marketing function and operating model to drive incremental sales growth. This leader will be responsible for standing up a marketing and content function from strategic planning through flawless execution to measurement and reporting. This role will develop a multi-year content strategy and program that balances line of business and channel needs with a client-centric focus to deliver on business objectives. It will also lead the team that implements content strategy programs that span across GPL industry segments to ensure the proper strategic content marketing alignment and perspective.

In this role, you will:

  • Define the GPL marketing and content strategy that will drive a competitive advantage with relevance and differentiation for Wells Fargo in the marketplace; provide strategic, long term, risk compliant solutions to the most complex business challenges.
  • Provide vision, drive strategy and set direction for development and execution of overall business strategies, policies and operating plans related to marketing and content strategy for GPL.
  • Work cross functionally with multiple lines of business and their clients as well as the broader payments space and will navigate a complex operating model to lead a key pillar of GPL’s sales strategy
  • Lead the creation of GPL marketing and content strategy (targeting and segmentation, creative, media), client research, fulfillment and execution process, and analytics/measurement and reporting. 
  • Lead digital distribution of the marketing strategy that will include close collaboration with Marketing leaders in the Corporate & Investment Banking and Commercial Banking business lines to ensure optimal orchestration of messaging in the market.
  • Partner with product teams to launch product marketing for key priorities and initiatives aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Have accountability for go to market strategy, agency selection, research partner and methodology, budget investments across campaigns, talent builds, and analytic conclusions to socialize with leadership for future investments and strategic changes, as well as PR activation opportunities. 
  • Drive business results through partners to maximize results and facilitate sales opportunities to achieve long term strategic objectives with broad impact.
  • Create experiences that resonate with target audiences based on deep understanding of customer/client behavior.
  • Analyze and synthesize data and consumer insights to measure performance and optimize strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms, Social Media Marketing, Strategy, or Senior Business Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience leading Business to Business digital content within a regulated environment
  • Experience managing creative and media agency relationships/contracts
  • Payments and Treasury experience preferred, global business experience a plus
  • Experience leading, developing and implementing B2B marketing content/thought leadership strategies for c-suite, investment banking audiences
  • Experience writing and implementing brand-building thought leadership programs for executives on all owned and select third party channels and media platforms
  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence across lines of business at multiple levels; negotiating with senior business executives to create and manage strong relationships
  • Proven track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced, dynamic and matrixed environment, preferably in financial services with knowledge of payments
  • Experience in developing and executing strategies that drive market share, revenue and customer loyalty and aligning brand initiatives with business goals
  • Strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • Enthusiasm and strong relationship building skills; ability to collaborate and influence across lines of business at multiple levels
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage wide range of audiences
  • Self-motivation and be energetic and forward thinking, possessing integrity and high ethical standards

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
