About Numeric

Every business relies on accounting. Yet most software in the space was built in the early 2000s — clunky, slow, and far behind the curve on AI. Today, accountants are facing a growing, unsolved data problem as data volumes and systems complexity grow — and they lack the tools to solve it. The problems are real, hard, and increasingly urgent. But they’re solvable.

Enter Numeric — the modern financial data platform for accounting and finance. Weaving together data, workflows, and AI-first solutions, we’re empowering accounting teams to achieve verifiable, detailed financial data faster and make business decisions with greater confidence.

We have strong product market fit and a growing base of customers who love our product - including OpenAI, Plaid, Brex, Betterment, and many more. We’re backed by top-tier investors including Menlo Ventures, IVP, Founders Fund, and 8VC, along with founders and executives from Ramp, Segment, and other category-defining companies.

The Role

As Head of Outbound, you will own Numeric’s outbound strategy end-to-end, including highly personalized BDR-led outreach and scaled, automated account engagement. You’ll lead a global BDR team across the UK, NYC, and San Francisco (currently at 10 members, growing to 20+ in 2026), and you’ll be responsible for both near-term pipeline impact and long-term capability building.

We’ve built an exceptional BDR team with clear promotion examples, an incredibly strong culture, and real, sustained impact. The next chapter is about re-imagining outbound for 2026.

This is not a pure people management role. Again, We are looking for someone who treats outbound as a product and a system and sees the BDR function as a powerful early-career talent engine for the company.

What You’ll Do
  • Treat the BDR org as a top-tier training ground for talent for future AEs, marketers, account managers, and leaders by building out coaching & development programs.

  • Systematize recruiting and identifying high-potential early-career talent.

  • Manage and develop early-career managers across multiple geographies.

  • Design and evolve our outbound strategy across personalized and scaled approaches while maintaining a high bar for messaging quality, relevance, and execution.

  • Work closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Events, and Growth teams to incorporate product messaging and run cross-channel campaigns.

  • Run outbound experiments to test new ways of reaching and engaging accounts.

  • Build repeatable systems that scale with the company.

  • Get into the trenches when needed: reviewing sequences, joining call blocks, refining copy, pressure-testing plays.

Who You Are
  • You genuinely enjoy helping early-career people grow and succeed.

  • You’re energized by building systems, not just hitting short-term numbers.

  • You’re curious, experimental, and excited by how AI is changing what’s possible.

  • You hold a high quality bar and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to meet it.

Backgrounds We’re Excited About

We care far more about mindset and capability than a specific resume path. You could come from many places, including:

  • A data scientist who moved into growth and led a small team

  • A former consultant or banker who founded a company

  • An SDR who transitioned into growth marketing and built a team from scratch

  • A sales leader obsessed with systems, experimentation, and AI’s impact on outbound

Hard Requirements
  • 5+ years of total work experience

  • 2+ years of people management experience

Nice to haves:

  • Proven ability to manage and develop managers, especially early in their leadership journey.

  • Experience leading or building outbound, sales development, growth, or revenue functions

  • Strong systems and data orientation; comfortable working with signals, experiments, and metrics

If you’re excited about owning and re-inventing outbound, we want to talk.

How we work

We work in person out of our offices in San Francisco and New York (in office by default but with flexibility to manage your schedule as you see fit).

We strongly believe we will only be successful if everyone on the team is anchored in the following set of core principles:

  • Brick by Brick: To win, our team needs to show up and execute in each domain every day.

  • Love the Game: We focus on the craft and a deep sense of giving a f*ck. We’re building a company full of people who are equally engaged and motivated.

  • SALY: We refuse to accept “Same As Last Year.” For too long, accounting and finance systems have reflected outdated processes instead of reimagining what’s possible. We’re driven by a first-principles approach to building better solutions.

  • Own the Outcome: We own our results. We typically hire builders and give them large mandates with high-trust. Engineers are responsible not just for code, but for ensuring the product is solving the end problems of the users.

  • Earn the right: We’re impatient to deliver results. We relentlessly iterate, measure, and improve. Every day is an opportunity to beat our prior best, raising the bar for the value we deliver to customers. E Pluribus Unum-eric. **

** 😄 And, important to note, we take business building seriously. But we aim to never take ourselves too seriously & laugh a lot.
