Team: Commercial (Reporting to CEO)

🧬 Mission
Photon gives patients ownership of prescriptions. Our platform enables clinicians to send prescriptions to patients via text, which saves them time by allowing their patients to shop between pharmacies. The vision is to help consumers save money by increasing transparency.

💡 Who We’re Looking For
We're hiring a senior leader to own relationships with EHRs, and clinical workflow platforms that embed Photon's prescribing infrastructure into their products. This is the distribution side of our business. Our Marketplace team builds the pharmacy network patients choose from, and this role builds the surface area where prescriptions originate.

We're live and scaling to 100K+ physician users with our first major platform partner. We need someone who can replicate that model across the health IT landscape: Epic, Athena, telehealth platforms, clinical decision support tools, and other systems where prescribing happens. You'll be selling Photon as infrastructure: a modern prescribing layer that platforms integrate to give their users transparent, patient-friendly prescription routing.

The ideal candidate has deep relationships across health IT, understands how clinical platforms evaluate and adopt third-party integrations, and has closed complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships. You should be as comfortable navigating a long enterprise sales cycle with a major EHR as you are moving quickly on a high-potential platform deal.

This is a high-ownership role reporting directly to the Founder/CEO.

📋 Core Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end strategy for platform partnerships: identifying, prioritizing, pitching, negotiating, and closing integrations with EHRs, and clinical workflow platforms
  • Build and manage a pipeline of health IT platform partners, from initial outreach through commercial agreement and technical integration
  • Develop compelling value propositions tailored to different platform types (large EHRs, specialty platforms, telehealth, clinical decision support, etc.)
  • Structure commercial models that align partner incentives with Photon's growth
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for strategic platform partners, managing executive relationships and driving expansion within existing accounts
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to translate partner requirements into integration roadmaps and ensure smooth technical onboarding
  • Work with the CEO and commercial team to align platform partnership strategy with Photon's broader distribution and revenue goals
  • Represent Photon at industry events, conferences (HIMSS, ViVE, HLTH), and in partner-facing settings
  • Track and report on partnership pipeline, integration milestones, and revenue contribution from platform channels

🎯 Qualifications
  • 10+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, or enterprise sales in healthcare technology, with significant experience selling to or partnering with EHR platforms
  • Deep understanding of the health IT ecosystem including how EHRs, ePrescribing systems, and clinical platforms evaluate, procure, and integrate third-party solutions
  • Established relationships with decision-makers at major EHR vendors, health IT platforms, or clinical workflow companies
  • Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise partnerships with long sales cycles
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience structuring partnership economics, revenue shares, and integration agreements
  • Ability to translate technical platform capabilities into business value for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
  • Executive presence, comfortable presenting to C-suite at large health IT organizations

🥳 Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience in ePrescribing, pharmacy technology, or prescription infrastructure
  • Experience building or scaling a platform partnerships function at an early-stage or growth-stage company
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, NCPDP SCRIPT) and how they impact integration strategy
  • Experience working with Epic, Athena, or other major EHR vendor partnership programs
  • Background in marketplace or infrastructure businesses where platform distribution is a core growth lever
