The Team:

Our Operational Risk Management team focuses on processes, technology dependency and workflows that are mission-critical to some of the most prominent global financial institutions in the world. We work with high-profile financial technology that is evolving at a breakneck pace, positioning us at the cutting edge of new technologies and innovations related to AI and emerging solutions. This dynamic environment offers unparalleled exposure to industry-leading practices and transformative technologies.

Responsibilities and Impact:

- Design and implement comprehensive operational risk frameworks and controls to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across critical business processes

- Develop and maintain control testing covering design and operating effectiveness of controls and the related operational risk exposures for global financial institutions

- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance risk management workflows, ensuring seamless integration with existing technology infrastructure

- Deliver operational resilience plans and related annual testing

- Collaborate with technology teams to evaluate and implement AI-driven risk assessment tools and automated monitoring solutions

- Conduct risk assessments for new products, services, and technology implementations, providing strategic guidance to senior leadership

- Partner with compliance and audit teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices while supporting business growth objectives

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $216,500 to $248,859. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field with 3-5 years of operational risk management experience

- Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks such as Basel III, COSO, or similar regulatory standards

- Experience with risk management platforms and tools such as GRC solutions (ServiceNow, Archer, or MetricStream), risk analytics software, or similar technologies

- Proficiency in data analysis tools including SQL, Python, R, or advanced Excel for risk data manipulation and reporting

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex risk concepts into actionable business recommendations

- Strong communication skills with experience presenting risk findings to senior management and cross-functional teams

 Additional Preferred Qualifications:

- Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), or similar risk management credentials

- Experience with emerging technologies including AI/ML applications in risk management, process automation tools, or advanced analytics platforms

- Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements in global markets

- Experience working with mission-critical systems in high-stakes financial technology environments
