The Brydon Group
Head of Product - Confidential Portfolio Company - The Brydon Group
About the Company
The Brydon Group recently acquired a services and software platform serving the government contracting (GovCon) market. The platform combines deep domain consulting across Finance, Contracts, and HR with a growing, mission-critical SaaS cybersecurity compliance product serving the broader defense industrial base (DIB).
The product has proven demand - growing ~100% year-over-year with minimal dedicated product resources. Customer acquisition is organic and repeatable. Now, we're investing in product leadership to maintain this growth rate through a critical window for DIB cybersecurity compliance while improving customer experience, reducing friction, and building leverage into the product.
About the Role
We are seeking a Vice President of Product to own the SaaS product vision, roadmap and execution plan in partnership with the executive team. This role is responsible for defining product strategy, translating regulatory complexity into intuitive customer workflows, and driving execution.
The VP of Product will report directly to the platform CEO and partner closely with the CTO, operations leadership, customers, and go-to-market stakeholders. This is a senior high-trust individual contributor role with meaningful ownership over product direction, prioritization, and outcomes.
This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives in regulated environments, brings a strong bias for speed, and knows how to scale a proven product without sacrificing quality or focus. You will be expected to make hard trade-offs, push momentum, and help materially accelerate the company’s growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution plan for a high growth SaaS product.
• Scale the product from hundreds to thousands of customers while maintaining reliability, security, and compliance.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, intuitive product experiences.
• Partner closely with the CTO and engineering team to prioritize, scope, and ship high-quality features quickly.
• Drive improvements in UX, onboarding, and core workflows to reduce friction and increase adoption.
• Engage directly with customers, including compliance leaders, security teams, and operators, to inform roadmap decisions and validate solutions.
• Maintain technical fluency and participate in discussions around architecture, APIs, data models, and platform trade-offs.
• Evaluate opportunities for automation and AI that deliver real customer value and operational leverage.
• Bring clarity, focus, and discipline to product development by making decisive prioritization calls and saying no when needed.
• Establish scalable product practices and processes - this is an individual contributor role today with potential to grow into product org leadership as the platform scales.
Requirements
You Might Be a Fit If You
• Have 7–10+ years of product management experience, scaling B2B or GovTech SaaS products.
• Have experience building products in highly regulated environments such as GovCon, cybersecurity, fintech, or healthcare.
• Bring a strong bias for speed and execution and enjoy high-growth environments.
• Are comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability in a PE-backed platform.
• Can balance customer needs, regulatory constraints, and technical realities without slowing momentum.
• Communicate clearly with executives, engineers, and customers.
Success in This Role Looks Like
• We maintain or accelerate our growth rate while shipping a better product – with improved UX, tighter integrations, more reporting, AI integrated thoughtfully.
• Customers experience faster time-to-value, clearer workflows, and deeper engagement.
• The product roadmap is one the team can rally around and execute on.
