The Head of Sales will be a member of the Agency Marketplace team reporting to the Regional Director for DACH. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the German Commercial Team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Sales & Account Management and a good understanding of the German landscape, with the ability of leading a dynamic team and a deep understanding of DACH travel tech landscape.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full accountability for leading the Agency Marketplace commercial organization and delivering sustainable results in the DACH markets

  • Define and implement strategies that boost team performance. 

  • Responsible for developing and nurturing multiple key client relationships with the German customers complemented with superior customer service.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the industry ecosystem, customer ownership structures, personas and future strategies.

  • Determine and understand customer critical business issues to present and demonstrate Sabre’s capabilities as the best possible technology solution for a long term and mutually beneficial partnership.

  • Define what is needed to deliver the value that business decision makers seek and communicate how these planned changes will deliver tangible value and measurable benefits.

  • Monitor the performance of a cross functional teams of consultants, individual contributors and sales people internally and externally connected to Sabre.

  • Use the critical thinking to assess current ways of working and identify opportunities for improvement as well as creativity to propose business solutions that add value in conjunction.

  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging market opportunities to make data-driven decisions.

  • Manage internal and customer discussions ranging from technical contributors to C/VP level and present Leadership level overviews and business cases.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must Have Skills:

  • Proven track record in a commercial leadership role with full responsibility of sales and earning results

  • 5-10 years in a Saas Sales management environment.  Experience in identifying and capturing new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing clients to foster long-term engagements.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and influence senior decision-makers.

  • A passion for understanding clients' needs and delivering tailored solutions to help them succeed.

  • A consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas and driving revenue growth in accordance with assigned individual and team targets.

  • A strong a relevant network across the DACH region.

  • Prior travel industry expertise

  • Strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen.

  • Proven experience in sales & account management.

  • Expertise in both the strategic and tactical aspects of leading the sales function with ability. to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.

  • Extensive understanding of the DACH market landscape including competitive information, key trends, opportunities and threats.

  • Proven ability of influencing cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.

  • Strong internal and external customer relationship-building and negotiation skills.

  • Extensive people management experience with ability to motivate and lead through a change.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work in a competitive and targeted sales environment.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • University degree, MBA an asset.
