Position Description
Morgan Stanley Bank NA (MSBNA) and Morgan Stanley Private Bank (MSPBNA) are nationally chartered banks and material operating subsidiaries of Morgan Stanley. These entities are regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
The U.S. Banks Capital Reporting team, within the Finance division, is responsible for regulatory capital calculations, forecasting, and reporting for MSBNA and MSPBNA. This Executive Director (P5) role provides leadership across capital allocation, regulatory capital reporting, and stress testing activities, with responsibility for delivering high quality reporting, analysis, driving process enhancements, and supporting senior management and regulatory stakeholders. The role reports to the U.S. Banks Controller and leads a team of Capital Reporting professionals.
Key Responsibilities
> Lead the U.S. Banks Capital Reporting function, overseeing the accurate, timely, and complete production of regulatory capital calculations, reporting, and disclosures for the U.S. Banks.
> Maintain ownership of regulatory capital reporting frameworks, including Basel capital requirements, risk-weighted assets (RWA), leverage ratios, capital buffers, and related regulatory reporting submissions.
> Ensure compliance with applicable Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, and other regulatory requirements governing capital adequacy and regulatory reporting (FFIEC 101 and 102), and spearhead implementation of new regulatory requirements (DFAST).
> Lead the interpretation and implementation of evolving regulatory capital requirements, assessing impacts and driving changes to reporting processes, systems, and methodologies.
> Develop and provide end-to-end oversight of capital forecasting activities for budgeting and regulatory stress testing, including governance, testing, controls and documentation.
> Lead business unit capital allocation and ROE analysis, as well as related reporting.
> Serve as a point of contact for OCC and FDIC examinations and for internal audit and model risk reviews covering bank capital, ensuring timely, well-documented responses.
> Drive continuous improvement, automation, and strategic enhancement initiatives across capital reporting and forecasting, in partnership with Capital Planning and Technology. Target measurable gains in reporting accuracy, transparency, and efficiency, and surface capital optimization opportunities.

Qualifications Required
> Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
> 10+ years of relevant experience, including bank regulatory reporting, capital reporting, or financial analysis.
> Strong understanding of bank regulatory capital frameworks and reporting requirements.
> Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Skills Desired
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
> Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and diverse talent across different regions.
> Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and regulatory data.
> Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment with a high degree of accuracy.
> Self directed leader with a strong work ethic and collaborative mindset.
> CPA, CFA, or an advanced degree in a financial or quantitative discipline.
> Experience with regulatory reporting and capital platforms (e.g., Axiom) and with automation or analytics tooling (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Python & AI Agents)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $165,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is

only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
