Provides LPN/LVN nursing care in an acute care emergency department, including patient intake, vital signs, examinations, injections, IV insertion, phlebotomy, treatment monitoring, documentation, and EMR maintenance. Assists physicians, maintains clinical areas, supports scheduling and authorizations, and communicates with patients, families, and care teams. Requires every-other-weekend and some holiday shifts.

Gross Weekly: $2277.72 for 36hrs
Breakdown:
W2(taxable): $24/hr
Housing and meal stipend(non- taxable): $1413.72
Qualifications
- Current New York State LPN license
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
- ED experience required
- Prior inpatient/acute care experience preferred
- Must be able to perform IV insertion and phlebotomy
- CPR certification/re-certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in an acute care/ED setting with minimal supervision
- Greet patients and prepare them for examinations
- Obtain and document vital signs and patient information
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures
- Set up trays for injections and other treatments
- Administer injections and assist with Paps and other procedures
- Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy
- Monitor and report patient responses to treatments
- Implement nursing care activities according to the care plan
- Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
- Assist with reception, scheduling, filing, and chart preparation
- Obtain insurance authorizations and physician referrals as needed
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and EMR records
- Work every other weekend and some holidays
