HR Data Scientist (People Analytics)
The Role
We're looking for an HR Data Scientist to join our People Analytics Center of Excellence. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in machine learning, AI, and HR data to design and deploy predictive models that inform strategic workforce decisions, from talent acquisition to retention and mobility. You'll work hands-on in Databricks, using scalable data science workflows to turn complex people data into actionable insights that shape how we attract, develop, and retain talent.

Key Outcomes
You will deliver:
  • Production-grade People Analytics projects such as attrition prediction, hiring funnel analytics, , and skills inference.

  • A scalable, secure Workday-integrated Databricks data model that supports advanced analytics and predictive modeling.

  • Reliable ML and analytics models that deliver actionable insights across HR.

Your Responsibilities
Model Development and Advanced Analytics
  • Design, develop, and deploy production-ready ML and statistical models using Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark, GPBoost, XGBoost, among others) within Databricks and tracked through MLflow .

  • Apply techniques such as classification, regression, NLP, clustering, and forecasting to address workforce challenges.

  • Perform model evaluation, monitoring, and explainability to ensure responsible use of AI in HR contexts.

  • Partner with data engineers to ensure reliable HR datasets across Workday and other systems.

Insight Generation and Storytelling
  • Translate model outputs into clear, actionable insights for HR and business leaders.

  • Collaborate with People Analytics teams to visualize and communicate findings effectively.

  • Document methodologies and promote a culture of data transparency and continuous learning.

Who You Are
You are an analytical storyteller who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and people.
You are passionate about uncovering insights that improve employee experience and business performance, and you are as comfortable building production-grade ML pipelines as you are explaining results to executives.
Qualifications
Required
  • 5+ years in data engineering or analytics, with demonstrated delivery of data platforms or ML/AI solutions.

  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark, TensorFlow, XGBoost, GPBoost, among others) with experience managing experiments and deployments through MLflow

  • Strong understanding of data privacy and ethical AI principles

Preferred
  • Proficiency in Databricks
  • Experience in People Analytics or HR technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of HR data and employee lifecycle processes (recruiting, development, engagement, workforce planning).

  • Degree in quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.

Compensation:
The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws.
The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate.
  • The salary range for this role is $106,600 - $163,400. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
