About the Role

Are you curious about how HR operates in a fast-paced, tech-driven company? This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the inner workings of Human Resources and the broader tech industry. MediaRadar is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Intern to support key people operations initiatives while learning how an HR team functions in a modern, growing organization.

In this role, you’ll focus on auditing and organizing employee records, supporting compliance and data retention practices, and helping to shape our internal DEI calendar. You’ll work directly with the HR Business Partner and collaborate with other members of the People & Culture team on projects that drive operational excellence and employee engagement.

Internship Details

  • Paid internship, 32 hours per week
  • Hybrid role based in our NYC office two days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
  • Excellent opportunity to build foundational experience in HR and tech
Requirements

What You’ve Done:

  • Interest in Human Resources, Business Operations, or a related field; current student or recent graduate preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfort navigating digital tools and databases (experience with HRIS platforms like HiBob is a plus).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
  • Willingness to take initiative and contribute ideas to improve how we work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Audit and maintain employee and contractor records in our systems (e.g., Google Drive and HiBob) to ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
  • Assist with file clean-up and standardization, both digital and physical, to improve HR data integrity and accessibility.
  • Support the team in identifying gaps or discrepancies in employee documentation and flagging those for resolution.
  • Support research into data retention best practices and regulations (U.S. and international) to help guide internal documentation policies.
  • Collaborate with the DEI team to create and maintain a DEI calendar highlighting key cultural moments, awareness events, and employee engagement opportunities.
  • Help streamline and document HR operations workflows, such as onboarding, offboarding, and compliance checklists.
  • Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to broader HR areas, including employee experience, recruiting, and learning & development.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and uphold confidentiality at all times.
