Joining Farther means joining a collaborative team of entrepreneurs who are passionate about helping their clients and our teammates achieve more. If you’re the type who breaks through walls to get things done the right way, we want to build the future of wealth management with you.
The Role
Farther's People team runs the infrastructure that keeps our corporate workforce moving. As our HR Operations Associate, you'll own the full corporate employee lifecycle — onboarding through offboarding — and be the engine behind the systems, workflows, and automation that make it all run. This is a role for someone who lives in the ops layer: you know how to make tools talk to each other, you see a manual process and immediately think about how to automate it, and you come in with ideas rather than waiting to be handed a project. You'll work closely with Finance, Talent, and leadership — and directly with Allison to level up how People Ops runs at Farther.
Your Impact
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve HR workflows, SOPs, and automation in Rippling — this is the core of the role
- Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities across HR operations — we want someone who sees where the function can work smarter and goes and builds it
- Own end-to-end corporate employee lifecycle administration: onboarding, job changes, offboarding, and everything in between — including Rippling setup, I-9 / E-Verify, documentation, and equipment coordination
- Own the corporate orientation program and internship / contractor hiring workflows
- Maintain the corporate people metrics dashboard; review Lattice survey data monthly and surface action items
- Coordinate corporate payroll entries and partner with Finance on accuracy and multi-state nuance
- Support multi-state HR compliance in partnership with legal and compliance tools
- Complete background checks and broker checks for corporate hires; manage state registration coordination
- Serve as a trusted first point of contact for corporate employees on all HR policy questions
The Ideal Match
- 2+ years of experience in HR operations, people ops, or a systems-heavy generalist role
- Rippling power user — you've built workflows and automation recipes, not just navigated the platform
- Demonstrated AI and automation fluency — you've used these tools to actually improve an HR process, not just heard of them
- Ops-first mindset: you think in systems, you document everything, and you're always looking for a more efficient way
- Proactive and self-directed — you identify what's broken, bring a solution, and build it without being asked
- Clear communicator who can make HR accessible to everyone from a day-one hire to senior leadership
Bonus Points
- Experience with Greenhouse, Lattice, or other HR/recruiting tools that integrate with Rippling
