  • HR Data Management: Process and maintain client HR data, including new employee onboarding, offboarding, and employee records.
  • HR Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and manage HR-related documentation and reports, ensuring accurate record-keeping for clients.
  • Client Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by being a reliable point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an HR coordinator or support role, ideally within HR consulting or tech startups.
  • HR Knowledge: Understanding of HR practices, including payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Customer Service Mindset: A proactive and empathetic customer-first approach to managing client relationships.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with HR software, Google Suite, and modern productivity tools (Slack, Asana, Zoom, etc.)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal team members.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and address challenges promptly and efficiently.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is between $94,000 - $116,000/year in Denver, between $114,000 - $142,000/year for New York/San Francisco, and between $176,000 - $218,000/year for Seattle. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
