About the Role
As Director of People, you will act as a champion for company culture and help drive the company’s ethos and infrastructure on hiring, developing, and retaining world-class talent to support the company’s growth. You will partner with department leaders and managers to help build and support their teams. You will be responsible for all human resources, recruiting, training & development activities at the company. This role will report directly to the COO.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a world-class talent management function, including recruiting, onboarding and talent development
- Partner with team leads and managers to evaluate current team structure and skills, org design, talent gaps and hiring plan to achieve business goals
- Lead performance review and feedback process to drive a culture of feedback and learning
- Spearhead building a remote culture from the ground-up at the company
- Prioritize a diverse and inclusive company culture through recruiting, training, policies, and conversation
- Drive company culture through activities and programs across the organization
- Oversee the management and administration of all employee policies and benefits
- Develop and roll-out a compensation and leveling structure with the CEO and COO
- Drive implementation and adoption of key people analytics to help drive thoughtful, data-driven people decisions
- Vet, implement and manage recruiting and HR platforms at the company
- Partner with the Legal team on compliance with federal, state, and local laws
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience leading a people operations or HR function at an early to mid-sized startup
- Passionate about putting people and culture at the center of the company’s strategy
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience with proof of HR-related qualifications
- Superb communication and coaching skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
