The Director, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for leading the team responsible for developing and executing on recruitment strategies that reflect Transfix’s culture, values, and commitment to a thriving, diverse workforce. The successful candidate will bring their passion, leadership, and experience to attract the best and brightest talent across every function in the organization.

What you'll do:

  • Drive Transfix’s growth and employment brand through the achievement of diversity led hiring goals, top rated candidate experiences, and sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor a best-in-class talent team and help them achieve their career and professional development goals.
  • Be prepared to roll-up your sleeves and carry some roles during peaks and high volume.
  • Balance internal and external recruiting capacity as business needs change over time.
  • Along with Chief People Officer, establish a set of OKRs/KPIs for the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to understand talent challenges, and develop effective strategies to address.
  • Be champion for diversity and inclusion within Transfix, and guide best practices to ensure we are always presenting a high-quality and diverse slate of candidates to hiring managers.
  • Partner with People and Finance teams to monitor, provide feedback, and influence hiring budgets and forecasts.
  • Partner with the People and Marketing/PR teams to further Transfix’s employment brand and position Transfix as an employer of choice.
  • Evaluate and execute plans to improve systems, data analysis, processes, and procedures designed for speed and efficiency, without sacrificing quality of hire.
  • Build strong relationships throughout the organization to help influence adoption of new strategies or practices.
  • Take a leadership role on critical, executive level searches; either leading the recruiting efforts through the team or managing search firms.

About you:

  • You have a minimum of 10 years recruiting experience, with at least 5 in a senior leadership/management role. You love recruiting and leading talent teams.
  • You are intellectually curious, and want to learn every aspect of the business.
  • You have a bias for action, are naturally competitive, and are driven to be a force to be reckoned with in a highly competitive recruiting market.
  • You have an eye for talent, and have a reputation for building great teams in high growth, dynamic environments.
  • You have a passion for and demonstrated experience in prioritizing diversity and inclusion in recruiting processes.
  • You are metric driven. You have a strong point of view on how to best use data and technology to drive consistent results.
  • You keep abreast of innovations with the talent acquisition space and have a wide network to draw on best practices, ideas, and cooperation.
  • You have built a reputation of being an excellent leader with high EQ and IQ, and have demonstrated experience building and scaling teams.
  • You have led recruiting teams supporting a diverse set of functions including but not limited to: SaaS sales, engineering, corporate functions, marketing, operations and customer support.
  • You have led searches for senior/executive level roles; both as the lead recruiter and managing retained/contingency based firms.
  • You are confident in being the internal expert in employment laws and best practices in terms of hiring, interviewing, assessments and navigating employment based visa sponsorships.
  • You have a BA/BS from a 4 year college or university.

Transfix's NYC HQ is steps from the Oculus and Fulton Center, with access to subway train lines. We are close to tons of restaurants, shops. We are on the top floor so have wonderful light and breathtaking views, including a spectacular view of One World Trade from our outdoor rooftop deck!
