Job Description

Hyperscience is looking to hire a Director of Talent & Organizational Development to join our People team. The Director of Talent & Organizational Development will lead the function that will unlock the potential of Hyperscience’s people, allowing them to reach new levels of performance and achieve their career goals. This role will report to the VP of People, and will partner closely with People Partner team and business leaders across the organization.


The People team enables Hyperscience to thrive by empowering our people to become their best. The team is split into four verticals: People Partners & Employee Experience, People Operations & Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Talent & Organizational Development. The T&OD pillar is pivotal to our organization’s ability to achieve our goals by improving individual capability and collective organizational capability as a result.

The Director, Talent & Organizational Development will:

  • Continue our progress building a world-class Talent Management & Organizational Development program and learning culture
  • Leverage significant business maturity, innate pragmatism, and ability to effectively collaborate with the business and People Partners to design, iterate, and implement development opportunities at scale for our employees, leaders, and senior executives including a wide range of innovative learning, coaching, and mentorship initiatives
  • Challenge the standard approach to all talent initiatives with a goal of creating something that achieves the desired outcomes. We are not looking to do what has been done in the past. We are looking to do what works
  • Manage talent processes that foster a growth mindset, drive high performance, and maintain a feedback-enabled culture
  • Ensure all employees know how to grow and thrive at Hyperscience through the design and definition of career paths with clear expectations and experiences for each level
  • Create materials, tools, and resources for all Talent initiatives at Hyperscience
  • Measure utilization, impact & effectiveness of all talent initiatives, and identify insights that will drive continuous improvement; assess and predict talent needs as the business grows

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in partnering with the business to achieve its objectives through talent
  • Extremely strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are a must have
  • Experience designing and implementing talent initiatives in a fast-paced or high-growth environment, preferably in tech or a similar environment, and at a company with a global footprint
  • A team player with a “can-do and will-do attitude”
  • Ability to forge great relationships within the People team and across the business
  • Previous people management experience
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to getting things done
  • Experience adapting various programs for various geographies, levels, learning styles, and types of expertise
  • A love of learning and a passion for helping others grow and develop
  • Ability to work on and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
  • Willingness to participate in calls across time zones as needed
