MISSION

We’re looking for an HR Business Partner for our warehouse in Piscataway, NJ. You will partner with senior leadership of our warehouse facility to promote a culture of trust, transparency, teamwork, accountability and kindness. In this role you will be the champion of our warehouse team and our business while determining where we can focus our efforts to improve our team and increase productivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate regularly with HR as an advocate for our warehouse team; to support employee needs and business operations
  • Work with corporate HR and Operations to ensure a positive and safe working environment for our warehouse employees 
  • Find new and innovative ways to improve our warehouse efficiency
  • Effectively communicate SwagUp policies, procedures and standards to new and existing employees, including leading trainings
  • Lead onboarding and orientation of new team members
  • Assisting with and/or potentially leading our non-exempt recruitment
  • Manage time-keeping of non-exempt staff and other ad-hoc tasks
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure recruitment and hiring processes run smoothly

 

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 3+ years of experience as an HRBP, HR generalist or similar role(s), with some experience in talent acquisition
    • Startup and/or warehouse experience is highly desired
    • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred; more than half of our warehouse staff is Spanish-speaking
    • You’re strategic and an excellent communicator; you’ll be designing a path of growth for warehouse staff and building strong relationships to ensure our employees feel valued
    • Deep knowledge and understanding of HR functions (FMLA, STD, ADA, Workers Comp, etc.)
    • You don’t just sit behind a desk all day, you enjoy being engaging with the staff and building relationships

    • You will be a leader in the warehouse, influencing and empowering others to become the best version of themselves
    • Proactively addressing internal situations as needed (compliance, employee-related, etc.)
    • Building open lines of communication and increasing team collaboration
    • Identifying talents within the team and guiding them to a successful growth path
