HR Program Manager
We are seeking a seasoned HR professional with project management experience to help architect Squarespace’s talent management programming—spanning the entire employee lifecycle—and ensure our Talent Management teams have the tools and resources they need to do their jobs effectively.
This role will require exceptional leadership and consultative skills, strong domain knowledge in HR, and stakeholder management. With your experience in project management, understanding of leveraging innovative technology and familiarity with talent analytics, you will identify and implement policy design and process re-engineering to achieve both incremental and transformational business impact through our talent strategy. Lastly, you will guide the HRBP, People Operations, and Compensation teams to think critically and to address business challenges, and have opportunities to lead cross-functional initiatives or problem-solve focus areas beyond your scope.
This role reports into our VP of People and is based in our New York City headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with People team leadership to prioritize HR initiatives and manage resources throughout the project lifecycle - from requirements and planning, to rollout and measurement
- Develop goals and roadmap for recurring HR programs, including: performance management, calibration, compensation & promotion processes, talent and engagement reviews, internal mobility, and employee exits, taking into consideration immediate needs, resourcing constraints, and long-term program strategy
- Lead cross-functional project teams through the planning, design, operational optimization, and communication of sustainable and scalable HR programs
- Communicate progress, interdependencies, and change management needs regularly with People team leadership and interdepartmental stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders of all levels in and outside of the People team
- Build engaging communication materials to keep stakeholders up to date on program developments and support the HR teams responsible for the initiatives
- Conduct project retrospectives and implement process improvements accordingly
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in an HR Operations or HR Business Partner capacity
- 7-10 years of experience with business process analysis, policy/program design and change management in Consulting, Human Resources and/or operational environments
- Ability to operate holistically with a bias to action and extraordinary attention to detail
- Proven track record of setting aggressive goals, managing complex cross-functional projects, and getting things done effectively and efficiently
- Strong internal client-facing skills with flexible communication style. Ability to communicate complex concepts and analytics in a structured manner and experience with socializing and presenting analysis, proposals and strategies to executive leadership with a demonstrated affinity for metrics
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
