What you’ll do: 

The Sr. HR Business Partner will work with the Director, People to identify strategies, create programs, and execute tactics that drive the entire employee experience at Billie. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day as you'll own and support projects within all facets of Talent Management.

We’re a lean team with lofty goals, so we are looking for someone who is self-directed, can run through walls to make things happen, and one who comes with creative ideas and the executional know-how to propel the Billie team forward to new heights!

Specifically, you will: 

  • Support various aspects of HR administration which will include, but not be limited to: payroll, benefits, records retention, compliance and compensation 
  • Ensure company compliance with all HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process for talent across the organization and own the employee on-boarding experience
  • Partner with Director of People to prioritize and execute special initiatives on the People Team roadmap; projects will span from talent acquisition and on-boarding to training and development and performance management 
  • Address people related questions and concerns, ensuring a balance between employee needs and organizational goals
  • Partner with managers on employee relations issues, including policies and laws
  • Look for inefficiencies in the People function and operationalize improvements 
  • Develop trusting relationships with all employees at all levels
  • Foster an environment that reinforces Billie's values

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Business preferred or equivalent professional experience; PHR or similar certification preferred 
  • 6+ years of experience in an HR role supporting both non-exempt and exempt employee groups (high growth startup experience preferred)
  • Prior experience working with a PEO (preferred) 
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and practices; ability to effectively liaise with outside counsel as necessary
  • Experience in full cycle recruiting with knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, Greenhouse preferred
  • An ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization; you know how to develop rapport and build trusting relationships
  • An ability to look at all angles of a situation, weigh pros and cons and leverage data to drive decisions 
  • A solid record of demonstrating good judgement and a high level of confidentiality
  • An ability to hit milestones under tight deadlines; you run through walls to make things happen
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
