People Operations Specialist
Mulberry is disrupting a $40B insurance industry by providing ecommerce retailers a seamless plug-and-play platform to offer product protection plans to their customers. We are growing rapidly and are looking for a thoughtful and talented People Operations Specialist to join our team. You will work closely with the Head of People to support the needs of Mulberry’s most valuable resource- it’s people. This role will help lead employee on-boarding and off-boarding, respond to employee questions, keep our HRIS up to date, and stay abreast of changing regulations and compliance. What you’ll do:
- Welcome our new hires by coordinating their onboarding and facilitating first day orientation as needed
- Manage onboarding, employee life cycle and related HRIS (Justworks) activities
- Complete I-9 documentation, new hire paperwork, and other onboarding materials
- Help manage and improve our key people operations tools, processes, and workflows to keep our organization running smoothly as we scale
- Support our people programs involving benefits, leave of absence management, employee experience, engagement, recognition and and other HR operational ad hoc projects as identified
What we’re seeking:
- 3+ years of professional experience in a people / human resources focused role at a high growth tech start-up
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, a diligent and hard worker
- Collaborative, solutions oriented, and comfortable with operating in an ambiguous environment and high growth business
- A demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, diligent, responsive, responsible, accountable, and resilient
- Resourceful, detailed, analytical and responsive in a high paced environment
