Recruiting Coordinator
Check is a payroll-as-a-service API that lets you embed payroll directly in your vertical SaaS, HR, or time-tracking platform. Our API abstracts away the complexities of running payroll: tax calculation, remittance, and filing, plus the movement of money between companies and employees. This enables companies to easily build fully integrated payroll products to offer to their customers.
We believe that the quality of our team is the single biggest determinant of our success. That’s why we’re looking for a Recruiting Coordinator to join our People team as we significantly grow the organization this year.
As the first Recruiting Coordinator on the team, you will have the opportunity to make an enormous impact at a fast-growing startup. We’re looking for someone who’s very detail-oriented, loves working with people and creating organized processes. You will report to the Recruiting Manager and can be located remotely in the United States.
In this role, you will:
- Schedule intro calls, video interviews, and interview debriefs across US time zones in a fast-paced environment
- Stay in close contact with candidates and provide updates regarding their applications and interview status
- Review applications to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
- Build high-trust relationships with recruiters and interviewers and maintain effective communication
- Improve our candidate experience by thinking creatively and holistically about how Check is presented
- Leverage the ATS (we use Greenhouse!) to communicate with candidates and schedule interviews
- Partner with People Operations to support new hire onboarding
- Pull reports to track goals, metrics, and performance of the hiring cycle; regularly communicate status and results to the team
- Partner with the Head of People and Recruiting Manager to establish the foundations of Recruiting as a function at Check
- Support special projects and other ad-hoc initiatives across the team as needed
Many backgrounds could fit this role, but ideal candidates will:
- Have 1+ years of relevant recruiting coordination or operations experience, preferably in a fast-growing startup company
- Experience using Google Suite
- Experience using an applicant tracking system (Greenhouse or Lever preferred)
- Be highly organized and detail-oriented with a bias for follow-through
- Have very strong time management and prioritization skills and a strong ability to juggle multiple urgent tasks
- Care deeply about creating a high-touch experience with candidates, interviewers, and hiring managers to ensure a positive experience
- Get excited about the challenge of building and scaling a recruiting function at a rapidly growing startup
- Be available to travel to our offices (NYC and SF) and for company offsites (1-2 times per quarter)
- Must be able to work during company core hours (10 am - 6 pm ET / 7 am - 3 pm PT)
Our team is distributed across the US, with hubs in New York City and San Francisco.
