Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Senior Manager of Compensation & HR Systems will lead a team dedicated to strengthening and leading our compensation, benefits and equity programs. This person will be responsible for maintaining internal consistency and external competitiveness through the design, development, and implementation of a strategic compensation philosophy and plan. They will work closely with leaders across the organization to design incentive programs to ensure alignment with our company goals.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with the executive team to drive compensation philosophy decisions and put them into practice.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external .
  • Use strong analytical skills to build complex models to evaluate and design Transix’s compensation plans.
  • Manage the administration of cash compensation (executive, exempt & non exempt and cash compensation programs -- both merit and incentive-based).
  • Ensure internal equity through the analysis of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Manage equity planning, administration, monitoring and reporting in close partnership with Legal, Finance, and Accounting teams.
  • Participate in market-relevant surveys and frequently benchmark best practices in order to maintain competitive positioning and recommend new plans and revisions that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
  • Guide and partner with HR Business Partners on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, job evaluation, and pay equity; including the development of creative, compensation-related programs.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to HR Systems that are appropriate for our scale and expected growth, with the goal of simplicity and data integrity across all compensation-related platforms.
  • Simplify and streamline processes and help managers and employees use HR systems more effectively
  • Develop and implement training programs for managers and employees as it relates to compensation and benefits programs
  • Partner with external brokers and consultants to ensure benefit plans are cost effective and market competitive.
  • Evaluate, design and oversee administration of leave benefit programs to increase effectiveness, while ensuring coordination and understanding of the programs 
  • Ensure that all aspects of plan design and administration remain in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Manage, develop and coach the HRIS Analyst and People Operations Coordinator

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in compensation analysis and equity administration
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Expertise in policy design and understanding of relevant regulations
  • Deep expertise in equity administration, including accounting, tax and legal implications
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to learn and understand financials, and relay learnings to the business
  • Expert analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Familiarity with Namely, Payscale and Carta, preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work autonomously, but take direction as needed
  • Strong project management skills: good follow-through on cross-functional plans, projects and goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills; with the ability to tailor communication to a variety of stakeholders
  • Results-oriented and able to balance multiple priorities, working quickly and nimbly
  • Strong collaborator and influencer; able to build strong partnerships with internal and external partners
  • You are a self-starter who loves taking initiative and proactively provide suggestions to streamline and improve processes
