Role and Responsibilities


We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and drive our full-cycle recruiting. As the “front door” to the company, you have an enormous impact on the people we bring in and the ultimate company performance. 


Talent Acquisition responsibilities include building a robust and diverse pipeline of candidates, navigating them through a rigorous and compelling interview process, and comprehensively onboarding new team members. To be successful in this role, you should be able to develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires. Ultimately, you will create strong talent pipelines for our company’s current and future hiring needs.


You have a strong ability to identify high caliber talent and bring them into the company. You are a thought partner to hiring managers and help guide them to find and close best-in-class talent. You are hands-on -- willing to get into the nitty gritty, while also developing a comprehensive strategy. 


You are a trusted counsel to others at every level in the company. You have extraordinary empathy coupled with utmost professionalism. You exemplify our company values. 


Key day-to-day responsibilities include:


  • Lead recruiting and onboarding. Build our recruiting brand and interview process and exceptional candidate experience
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and determine selection criteria
  • Build strong and diverse pipelines of candidates 
  • Enhance Block’s employer brand
  • Through social media, networking events, job adverts, head hunting and referrals, source and deliver the best in class candidate experience
  • Plan consistent interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, case studies, and interviews
  • Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
  • Ensure that candidates understand and embrace our company values


Qualifications


  • 3-6 years of work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role
  • Highly ambitious and goal-oriented
  • Ability to handle complex situations with poise
  • Able to build for long term, but also able to find efficient short-term solutions
  • Demonstrates Company Values
