Talent Development Manager

What You'll Do
In this role, you'll work with the Talent Development team to lead our manager development, diversity & inclusion (D&I), and team specific training programs. You will own Flatiron’s manager training curriculum and will be tasked with ensuring it scales and continues to meet the needs of our evolving manager population. In addition, you will be responsible for driving results around Flatiron’s diversity & inclusion (D&I) efforts through project management, partnership with People team stakeholders, and development of an internal communications strategy. You will also own Talent Development’s strategic consultation with teams, and will be tasked with partnering to provide training solutions based on identified needs. Specific responsibilities include:
- Benchmark Flatiron’s manager training offerings and analyze feedback on current program to iterate on a manager development strategy that will help motivate, inspire and retain Flatiron managers
- Scale our team effectiveness offerings to enable members of the business to customize based on their specific needs
- Provide consultation, source, design, and facilitate team effectiveness trainings to meet the needs of individual Flatiron teams.
- Project manage D&I workstreams, facilitate cross-functional alignment on company goals, and curate updates to the company and leadership team
- Collaborate on the development and facilitation of D&I training programs and resources
- Support the design and facilitation of custom org-specific development programs
- Support other special projects across the Talent Development and People Ops team
Additionally, as a member of the broader Talent Development team, this person will also have the opportunity to collaborate on and lead initiatives related to organizational culture and employee engagement.
Who You Are
You're a People Operations professional with 4-7 years of relevant experience. You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact. Additionally, you demonstrate the below:
- Track record of ability to manage programs from start to finish. Demonstrates an operational mindset through the ability to drive initiatives forward, think thoughtfully about stakeholder management, and execute.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to comfortably present and write ideas in a way that takes the audience into account, strikes the right level of detail, and provides appropriate context.
- Organizational skills and excellent attention to detail are a must. Thrives on getting things done both quickly and accurately.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. Can build rapport quickly with teammates, internal stakeholders, managers, and employees.
- Strong facilitation skills. Ability to present training content and manage discussion to enable learning and growth.
- Practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving with the ability to analyze complex issues quickly and communicate observations and recommendations
- Proven data analysis skills and the ability to synthesize key findings from large amounts of information
- Must be a highly collaborative team player with a “can do attitude”, and the ability to forge great relationships both within and outside the People Ops team
