Workday HRIS Administrator

As a Workday HRIS Admin on the HR team, a typical day for you will include:
- Oversees and maintains optimal function of HR systems (HRIS, HCM, Cloud based platforms), which may include design, build, test, installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the Workday system, working to ensure minimal disruption to HR operations.
- Partner with People Services stakeholders to design and deliver Workday integrations across following modules: HCM, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Recruiting/ATS
- Build/launch/customize business processes, workflows, reports/dashboards, notifications, tasks, and integrations to third party vendors
- Manages and configures the HR case management system, ensuring efficient triage, routing, and resolution workflows; experience with Workday Help is a strong plus
- Partner with People Services Stakeholders to identify and implement new functionalities/upgrades assassinated with bi-annual releases
- Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to system users
- Collaborates with department leadership to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions
- Partner with People Services leadership to design and implement security access, permissions, and processes for Workday users
- Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff
- Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects
- Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements
- Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS and other system providers, vendors, and technology

(Required qualifications)
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience with Workday systems, with both functional and technical responsibilities
- SHRM-CP or HRCI certified preferred
- Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals
- Experience with Workday security administration, including role based permissions and user access controls
- Proficient with 3 or more functional Workday modules (HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Performance Management)
- Advanced proficiency in generating reports within Workday
- Strong familiarity with the following aspects of information systems: formal project management practices, database concepts and principles, and good application release management practices
- Skills:
- Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals
- Experience with Workday security administration, including role-based permissions and user access controls
- Proficient with 3 or more functional Workday modules (HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Performance Management)
- Advanced proficiency in generating reports within Workday
- Strong familiarity with the following aspects of information systems: formal project management practices, database concepts and principles, and good application release management practices
- Demonstrated experience administering Workday for companies with a global workforce, including managing country‑specific configurations, security, business processes, and compliance requirements across multiple regions.
- Ability to gain a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS and at least one financial management system
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with associates, vendors, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple competing stakeholder priorities
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required
- Schedule / in-office requirements:
- Open to fully remote if not local.
- Hybrid working model if local; Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday & Friday from home.
