TEAM OVERVIEW
KKR’s Human Capital Business Partner team is a strategic and trusted advisor to leaders across the firm. The team drives people and organizational initiatives across the full employee lifecycle — from talent acquisition and development to performance, engagement, and retention. Business Partners provide coaching, counsel, and guidance to managers, helping to navigate complex people matters and enable teams to perform at their best.
Working closely with partners across Compensation, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and HC Operations, the team ensures alignment with firm-wide policies, workforce planning, and diversity and inclusion objectives. The Business Partners team operates in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on partnership, execution, and impact.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and high-performing Human Capital Business Partner to join our global Human Capital team supporting Business Operations functions with a focus on our Technology organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of people and strategy within a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
The ideal candidate will bring foundational Human Capital experience, a strong analytical and project management mindset, and an eagerness to learn and grow. You’ll build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization, partner with leaders to drive people initiatives, and contribute to building a modern, scalable workforce that supports the firm’s strategic priorities.
This role can be based in New York or Boston and provides exposure to leaders and teams across our global technology footprint, offering a strong foundation for long-term growth within KKR’s Human Capital function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working closely with Senior Human Capital Business Partners on Human Capital strategy and key projects which could include data analysis requests, headcount planning, talent management projects, diversity initiatives, training and professional development, compensation frameworks, mid-year and year-end roundtable processes, year-end compensation process, succession planning, and engagement surveys
- Managing headcount reporting/tracking with the Compensation and FP&A teams, including managing open roles and other key Workforce Planning
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting activities including but not limited to offer composition and approvals and on-boarding and new hire assimilation
- Managing all immigration cases within business area coverage
- Working with our Employee Relations team supporting employee relations matters, as appropriate.
- Working closely with employees during onboarding and offboarding processes and addressing Benefits questions in partnership with our Benefits team
- Provide data-driven insights and project management support to help leaders make informed talent decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, problem-solver, and advocate for both employees and leaders
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience preferred, ideally in a professional services, financial services, or technology-driven organization.
- Strong emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to influence and build credibility without formal authority.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage with individuals across all levels in a clear, concise, and professional manner
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding organization and project management skills to manage multiple demands while prioritizing time efficiently and remaining attentive to detail
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset with a genuine interest in learning and growing within a strategic HR function; comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Proven ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
This is the expected annual base salary range for this Boston-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
