About the Role
The Index Intern will support our team by assisting with the research, creation, and development of market indices.
Responsibilities will include:
- Completing research related to index design and development
- Maintenance and monitoring of capital action activity covering global equity markets
- Compiling index-related data and preparing statistical reports that will be shared with the team and clients
The Ideal candidate will have:
- Microsoft Office proficiency with advanced Excel knowledge
- Studying Finance, Economics or Math
- Applied math skills, particularly financial statistics
- Programming skills, especially in Python and VBA
- Familiarity with data terminals such as Bloomberg, Eikon, and FactSet
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience working with and analyzing large datasets
- Excellent communication skills, both in written and spoken English
- Positive and proactive attitude with flexibility to accommodate a changing environment and willingness to take on new responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail
