The Role

Blue Owl is seeking a detail-oriented Associate to perform reporting and data automation initiatives for our investment portfolios. This role will focus on streamlining reporting processes, ensuring data integrity, and delivering actionable insights to support investment, business development, and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with experience in data management and reporting automation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product analysis, database maintenance, and automate standardized reporting for the Product Marketing & Diligence team

  • Oversee performance calculations, portfolio exposure/attribution analysis, and client reporting

  • Lead automation initiatives using the IVP data warehouse to generate standardized portfolio track records and ensure data integrity

  • Organize and validate portfolio exposure and performance data for quarterly reporting

  • Enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and models leveraging IVP and other systems

  • Collaborate with investment, business development, accounting, and IT teams to align data needs and reporting design

  • Maintain and improve the fund performance database, incorporating attribution methodologies

  • Develop key metrics and reporting measures (e.g., exposure %, P&L, ROA, ROE, risk, correlation).

  • Standardize and automate client reporting templates and recurring requests

  • Create internal templates to analyze performance drivers across sectors, asset types, and sponsors.

  • Support marketing updates and respond to ad hoc analysis requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Computer Science, IT, or related field

  • 3-5 years in asset management operations or performance analysis

  • Proficiency with Python

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Detail-oriented, able to multitask and manage changing priorities

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and team-oriented approach

The base annual salary range for this New York-based position will be $105,000 to $150,000. Actual salary offered will be based on the candidate’s skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
