Job Title: Interface Specialist (ICD Documentation)

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Employment Type: Contract (approximately 8 months)

Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring for the role of Interface Specialist on behalf of its client, a state government agency, to support a Medicaid modernization initiative. The specialist will build the Medicaid Interface Registry, write Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for interfaces that do not have one, and create the Interface Management Plan. The role works onsite with State Medicaid staff and State IT resources to document how Medicaid systems exchange data. The scope is limited to Medicaid related interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements with State IT resources and agency staff to identify Medicaid applications, current interface structures, and data sources. Mainframe data is accessed only through State IT resources.
  • Create and maintain the Medicaid Interface Registry covering all South Dakota Medicaid applications.
  • Write Medicaid related Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for every interface in the registry that does not have an associated ICD.
  • Create the Medicaid Interface Management Plan to support monitoring, governance, and ongoing maintenance of interfaces.
  • Work alongside State Medicaid staff to understand system to system interactions and map the movement of data between systems and processes, including reporting to internal and external partners.
  • Review existing ICDs and other data control documents and recommend improvements, including recommendations on interface documentation and related tools.
  • Identify risks related to the current interface structure and recommend ways to streamline data sharing and system integration.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize interface functionality where issues are found.
  • Prepare a monthly status report on work completed and timelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience writing Interface Control Documents.
  • Practical experience in software development, interface design, and systems integration, including API based integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize interface functionality.
  • Minimum senior level healthcare services knowledge, expert level preferred. Medicaid or MMIS experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with relational SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
  • Understanding of design principles and of user interface and user experience concepts.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver work reliably and manage multiple documentation deliverables at once.
  • Ability to work onsite in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the duration of the engagement.
