the job:
as amika's influencer marketing intern, you will be responsible for assisting the influencer team in community growth inclusive of building our influencer, brand ambassador, + stylist communities, relationship building, surprise + delight moments, creator seeding, mailer calendar support, list building, event planning, + more. you will support day-to day responsibilities while working cross-functionally with amika's social, marketing, paid media, creative, operations + accounting teams to ensure all designated assignments are executed + delivered to the relevant team(s).
location: brooklyn, ny (onsite 3 days a week. must have the right to live and work in the US)
hourly rate: $17 per hour
hours: 40 hours per week
duration: 6 months
start date: May, 26th 2026
what you'll do:
this is a dynamic, hands-on role offering exposure to all facets of brand marketing - from campaign strategy, sampling initiatives, + community building to event execution and retail support.
- assist with influencer discovery and recruitment for campaigns while working to build out amika’s influencer communities
- support team with community initiatives inclusive of events, TYB (Try Your Best) challenges + community management, mailers, campaigns, and more
- assist with brainstorming, managing and executing mailers, including support with managing design submissions, targeted influencer lists, shipping and tracking results
- support the team with execution of campaigns, product launches, surrounding amika’s evergreen + new product focuses
- admin support including order fulfillment and tracking, product closet management, Tribe organization, etc.
- assist with monthly reporting + campaign creation and tracking via Tribe
- compile competitive research of influencer activations, trends and mailers
must haves:
- currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
- genuine enthusiasm for the beauty industry and the global market
- thrives in dynamic, high-energy environments that are constantly evolving
- proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and contribute
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- excellent time management and organizational skills
- detail-focused with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- fast learner with strong problem-solving skills
- works well in a collaborative setting and is equally effective when working independently
- familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- prior experience in influencer marketing a plus
