Job Title: Internal Communications Intern
Duration: Summer 2026 - 8-week internship
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Internal Communications Intern to join our Internal Communications team for a Summer 2026 internship. This role offers hands-on experience in corporate communications, content creation, and project coordination. You will support the Internal Communications Manager in delivering engaging and accurate messaging to employees across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft first-pass content for newsletters, intranet posts, and announcements.
- Proofread and edit communications prior to distribution.
- Upload and update content on the intranet (news articles, pages).
- Update slide decks for internal presentations.
- Assist in tracking the editorial calendar.
- Take meeting notes for IC-related projects and capture action items.
- Support planning and logistics for internal Town Halls (as applicable).
Required Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of AP style or willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Interest in project coordination and logistics.
- Strong organizational habits (documenting processes, tracking requests).
- Comfortable learning intranet or content management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Zoom.
Educational Background & Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic research methods or content creation tools.
- Interest in internal communications, employee engagement, and company culture.
- Curiosity about organizational communication strategies.
- Willingness to take feedback and iterate on drafts.
Compensation: USD $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
