Great Jones is looking for a Business Operations MBA Intern to work on the biggest operational issues facing our business. This individual will identify our most pressing areas for operational improvement or opportunity, develop plans to address them, and then work with colleagues in Product, Finance, Sales, and Customer Experience to enact holistic solutions. We’re looking for an individual who can think strategically, execute quickly, and own processes from ideation to implementation to ensure we’re offering a best-in-class product to our customers. About Us

Great Jones is creating a modern platform to serve the $2 trillion in rental homes owned by small-scale investors. We were recently named one of Built in NYC’s Top 50 Startups to Watch in 2020. We’re co-founded and led by a GSB alum and have employees from HBS, GSB, and Wharton. We have about 100 employees on staff - 50 in our HQ in NYC and 50 out in the field.

We’re bringing property management into the 21st century. Property management is a massive industry, with over $40 billion spent each year in the U.S alone. It is deeply fragmented, has great economics, and notoriously bad customer experience.

About the Job

The Business Operations MBA Intern role is a high-visibility role tasked with identifying large opportunities and solving major issues in our business. We’re still early on in our journey, none of our processes are sacred, and we’re looking for the right person to help us scale quickly and smartly. In this role, you can expect to work on projects like the following: 

• Operational process improvement: for example, helping create a best-in-class cross-market leasing process so we can efficiently rent the thousands of properties on our platform
• Organizational design: thinking through which roles and functions we need at a local vs. central level to most effectively serve our 13 (and growing!) markets
• Strategy and insights: building out dashboards to gauge where we’re over- and under-performing, then designing action plans for how to address the problem areas you’ve uncovered 

This is a hands-on role and we’re looking for someone who is motivated about what we’re building and eager to grow with our team.

Required Experience 

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Pursuing an MBA
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis
• Able to thrive in fast-paced environment with lots of white space
• 3-6+ years of work experience in consulting, finance, or tech
