NOTE: A position with the Investment Committee is strictly VOLUNTEER, and is NOT a paid position.
Purpose: The Investment Committee interprets and implements the Investment Policy adopted by the UUA Board of Trustees for the operations of the Unitarian Universalist Common Endowment Fund (UUCEF). The members are responsible for management of the UUCEF in a manner consistent with UU Values as well as the achievement of investment return and risk objectives. The Investment Committee and the Socially Responsible Investing Committee collaborate to optimize the investments of the UUCEF.
The Committee adopts all policies necessary to assist the Board in the efficient and effective management of the UUCEF.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement asset allocation strategy
- Assess the effectiveness of the UUA's SRI policies
- Monitor investment performance
- Implement portfolio changes
- Control costs
- Ensure good accounting and audit practices
Skills needed: Direct professional institutional investment experience specializing in institutional fiduciary issues for an organization with assets equal or greater than $150MM
Length of Term: 2 years with 8 year limit of service
Meetings: Quarterly, 6 hour meetings, in conjunction with the SRIC
Additional important info: Members should have knowledge or willingness to understand socially responsible investment practices.
