About BlackRock US Municipals Group

The Municipal Fixed Income business within BlackRock’s Portfolio Management Group is a leading manager of municipal securities, overseeing more than $180 billion in assets. The platform provides a wide range of investment options, including mandates focused on both taxable and tax-exempt bonds. BlackRock is seeking a Municipal Product Strategist to join the Municipal team and collaborate with portfolio managers, marketing, and sales teams. This position is responsible for supporting new business development, creating and implementing marketing and sales strategies and materials to increase demand for the firm’s Municipal products, and ensuring the team provides high-quality, investment-focused client service. As the candidate progresses in this role, there may be opportunities to engage directly with clients, including institutional investors, high net worth individuals, and financial advisors.

Job Description

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and prospects, delivering compelling presentations and tailored solutions that highlight BlackRock’s municipal strategies and services.

  • Staying current on the municipal market and competitive landscape and provide timely, actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Work as a partner across the firm supporting BlackRock’s Municipal Suite, working closely with BlackRock’s various sales teams and Internal Relationship Managers as a resource to help support, discuss and distribute BlackRock’s Municipal Strategies across internal and external platforms.

  • Work closely with portfolio management, credit research, and senior product specialists to create, maintain and enhance sales presentations and marketing collateral.

  • Collaborate with portfolio management and credit research teams to review portfolio compositions, identifying trends across BLK and competitor strategies.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS is required.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • 2 to 3 years of Fixed Income Experience Preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to synthesize complex issues and ideas. Solid written and oral skills.

  • Strong quantitative skills, including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Superior organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Self-starters who enjoy working in a team environment

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects.

  • Series 7 and 66 required or expected to be completed within 6 months of hire.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$137,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance. For Princeton, NJ Only the salary range for this position is USD$95,000.00 - USD$127,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
